Is Ghana web created for only political gambling? Because there is nothing interesting you read on Ghana web at all other than self interest of politicians and how to victimize one another. Please enough of that if Ghanaians do not know what they are doing. Every web site is created to educate its citizen on positive development of the country and a place to share good ideas of moving forward not going back.

"Lord Coleridge, in the old English case of Woodward v. Sarsons (1875) L. R. 10 at 733 noted as follows: ' If this proposition be closely examined it will be found to be equivalent to this, that:
the non-observance of the rules or forms which is to render the election invalid, must be so great as to amount to a conducting of the election in a manner contrary to the principle of an election by ballot, and must be so great as to satisfy the tribunal that it did affect or might have affected the MAJORITY of the voters, or in other words, the result of the election '" This is one of the authorities cited by Addison in his address. What i can believe is why Addison ignored the import of the words "MAJORITY of voters" . It means that the irregularity affected majority of the voters. Was that the case? Clearly not. That is why the petitioners ought to have cast doubt on the whole election including Ashanti and Eastern Regions to have the effect of the authority they are citing in their address. What do you think?

What I cannot believe is why Addison ignored the import of the words "MAJORITY of voters" . The quote was very clear that majority of the votes ought to be affected before the results of an election can be deemed to have been affected by the irregularity. But was that the case? Did the petitioners show that MAJORITY of votes was affected? The answer is No. "Huge numbers" or "mountain of evidence" as the petitioners are wont to say, does not constitute MAJORITY. The word MAJORITY is a ratio or proportion. It is not an abolute concept. That is to say what proportion of the total votes cast nationwide was affected? what the petioners allege does not form the majority of votes no matter how huge it seems. This is easily verified from what is left after accepting to annul all the ballots they are seeking to annul. So why cite aan authority that dose not support your case? I wonder. I hope someone would be kind enough to mail this to all the SC justices who might have been taken in by the argument of the petitioners. It is not too late.

A man was walking home alone late one night when he hears a BUMP...BUMP...BUMP...behind him.
Walking faster he looks back and makes out the image of an upright coffin banging its way down the middle of the street towards him...BUMP...BUMP...BUMP...
Terrified, the man begins to run towards his home, the coffin bouncing Quickly behind him...faster...faster. ..BUMP...BUMP...BUMP.
He runs up to his door, fumbles with his keys, opens the door, rushes in, Slams and locks the door behind him.
However, the coffin crashes through his door, with the lid of the coffin clapping...clappity-BUMP...clappity-BUMP...clappity-BUMP...on the heals of the terrified man.
Rushing upstairs to the bathroom, the man locks himself in. His heart is pounding; his head is reeling; his breath is coming in Sobbing gasps.
With a loud CRASH the coffin breaks down the door. Bumping and clapping Towards him.
The man screams and reaches for something, anything...but all he can find is a box of cough drops!
Desperate, he throws the cough drops at the coffin...
. ..and of course
. ..the coffin stops.
