He graduated from the University of Ghana in 1967 with a B.Sc in Economics. Nana trained as a lawyer in England and was called to the English Bar (Middle Temple) in 1971 and the Ghanaian Bar in 1975.

Under President Kufuor, Nana served as the Attorney-General and Minister for Foreign Affairs. He was the flagbearer of the party in the 2008 elections and was again elected in 2010 to be the flagbearer of the party in the upcoming 2012 elections.

Mr Glover has made a very good point by exposing the gross hypocricy of this IGP.

We have NDC miscreants like Nii Lantey Vanperpui harrassing a selected ethnic group in Accra by inciting gangs to deinfranchising them, resulting in assault of Ursula Owusu with impunity. But when Kennedy Agyepong out of frustration responded with equally unpleasant comment, he was quickly arrested and over-charged!! This same man is arrogantly disrespecting court orders issued over his place of residence, yet, with impunity. Hello, IGP!!!

In the meantime, NDC bandicts continue to cause mayhem across the country with impunity. If the IGP is not taking any action against these riff-raffs, then he should be asked to step aside, because he's being ignorant of his responsibility, and this is not good for state security.

If the IGP's ignorance of these security threats is a way of pleasing the ruling party, then it's shameful and dangerous policy. The IGP has to come out to explain to the public why the in/action of the police is not serving the general good,and why he should not be asked to resign for playing politics with his public safety institution.
