The "Affordable Health Care Act" promoted by the US president was termed "Obama Care" by his Republican Opponents of the Act who sought to promote their own opposition to the act nationally by labelling it with the president's name. They had a number of objectives, one of which was to let it 'stick' in the minds of American voters, hoping it would cost him votes and re-election in December 2012.

As history has it, they failed miserably and initially being a name of ridicule, the president turned it around and campaigned on the successful implementation of the plan during the elections. Obama Care will also go down in history with the president's name imprinted on it. Funny old world?

Name-calling is not a good thing and labelling with the intention to injure the person and to make a public spectacle of others is shameful.

However it can also backfire and I guess what Nketiah was trying to say was that the name "General Mosquito" was given to him by his political opponents. However he has accepted it as a mark of their respect for him, whatever their original meaning was meant to be.

I do not address him as such, but good luck to him!!
