All of a sudden nonentities want to portray to the world how close they were to the late President.
Those who had to chat with him for one hour everyday, those Deputy Ministers who had to call him every morning before the man could even brush his teeth, and still those who would be called to the Castle by the late President to express his appreciation for job well done after they had gone to insult political opponents in the media on his behalf. Shameless id.iots raising their egos

The government is overweight, with over 300 parliamentarians, 300 ministers and deputies even chieftancy is a pseudo arm of government and being paid as well.
Also nothing is centralized, all ministers are allowed to seek investments and conflate it in the name of the administration. This has been an on going spectacle since Saint Mills days. No amount of taxes will suffice an over bloated and glutton government. Ghana's economy grew astronomically under Kufuor. Gold mining increased along with increasing world gold prices, oil cocoa etc. Whatever happened since to the economy? Woyome, Ghana Gas(dead on arrival), DumSor DumSor(ascendant), where exactly is the beef?
Kufuor and Rawlings should bury their differences and help out mother Ghana because to a dog four years is eternity! Ghana is dying. Is what we want simply madness? yes, we cannot keep pointing to the sky when everything is under your feet.

CHANGE IT BACK TO OHENE DJAN STADIUM, NOW!
the topic of the AMA being caught in National Democratic Congress politics, especially with the decision to remove the name Ohene Djan from the signpost of the sporting edifice in Accra.
Expect the bearded Mayor to defend his corner. He insisted that the changing of the name was in respect of the exercise of the right of the AMA to name streets and monuments in the national
capital. I put it to him that the renaming of the Jubilee House to Flagstaff House was without the input of the AMA, and that when the Black Star Square became Independence Square the AMA never
raised a finger. I assured him that so long as some of us continue to live, Ohene Djan would be back. He threatened to summon me before the full assembly of the AMA to show why I should not be
disciplined for flouting the rules of the assembly. I assured him that I was prepared to face the Sanhedrin. OKO IS WAY IN OVER HIS HEAD. IF OKO VANDERPUIJE SHOULD CONTEST THE ACCRA MAYORAL JOB
AGAINST A BEARDED, HAIRLIKE MONKEY FROM THE BUSH OF GH NATIONAL COLLEGE.. TRUST ME, THE MONKEY WILL WIN!
HOW CAN YOU COWTE TO THE DEMANDS OF THESE NON TAX PAYING, NON EDUCATED GA YOUTHS N CHANGE THE NAME OHENE DJAN TO ACCRA SPORTS STADIUM. IS OKO ON DRUGS?
THE AMA DOES NOT OWN THE STADIUM. IT IS PUBLIC PROPERTY OWNED BY THE GOVT OF GH. JUST BCOS THE STADIUM IS IN ACCRA DOES NOT MEAN THAT AMA OWNS IT. IF AMA WANTS TO OWN THE STADIUM.
THEY SHOULD BUY THE STADIUM FROM THE GOVT OF GH. THE ONLY RIGHT TO NAME CHANGING AMA HAS IS WITH THE PRIVATELY OWNED PUBLIC TOILETS N GA MANTSE CHIFTANCY SEATS IN ABOSSEY OKAI, MANPROBI, TESHIE, NUNGUA ETC....
I DONT WANT HEAR ABOUT GA DISENFRANCHISING ETC. THATS TYPICAL INWARD LOOKING TALK. THE KMA HASNT CHANGED THE NAME BABA YARA. DO U SEE ANY DISENFRANCHISEMNT FROM THE ASHANTIS?

This Venderpuje man acts like someone who had not lived, study and worked in the United States of America. Every action of his looks like a person from the jungles of the Congo. Gas have finished selling all their lands to foreigners even including recently arrived Chinese. Now they are eying the Ohene Djan Stadium. They should make a try and there will they see the uproar it will bring in Accra. AMA should change the names of Kotoka Int.Airport, Burma, Michell Camps and Kwame Nkrumah Circle after that they can change the name of Ohene Djan Sports Stadium to whatever they want. Secondly, what powers does the ABA has over any citizen living in Accra to obey their summonses? The AMA should be look for ways and means of keeping Accra clean, neat and refreshing than busying itself from these stupid and unnecessary things which will not yield them any good.
A stupid man leading a bunch of equally stupid people who call themselves Assembly People in dirty and stinking Accra.

Oh Shut up with your Baba Yara analogy. Name Accra Sports Stadium after Baba Yara, and nobody wil say anything, and that is because Akans do not respect their fellow citizens from other ethnicities, but most others do show love and admiration across the board. If Kumasi Sports stadium was names after a Ga or Ewe hero of Ghana, you will learn the true trbalism of such indigenes. Please leave the Gas alone, they embraced everybody and now have come to realize their folly, so allow them. Ghana has many more glorious moments and people to cherish. It is appropriate that every region be allowed to exercise priority for all its indigenous heroes and heroines before all other national options are considered. Accra should not be taken for granted as a national treasure and coffer for all to dip into, because I can assure you, had the capital been in Ho, Tamale or Kumasi, the same sentiments expressed by the Gas with time will surface in any of these regions or even any part of the world under similar circumstances. It happens in American States and cities. Indeed Ohene Djan was a National Sports Icon and really admired by all, what happened in Ghana over the last 20-30 years has been the insurgence of leaders and opinion makers injecting too much ethnicity and tribalism into our once upon a time melting pot of ethnic rainbows. Rawlings may have contributed to it, so did the NPP. Unfortunately these are the consequences of those actions.
We should have never changed anything named after ACCRA to national heroes, instead in light of expected developments, we should earmark places of great national interest to our unsung heroes well before we arrive at that juncture. For instance, Ghana will have another Sports Stadium hopefully in the next 10 years, so let us slate that for Ohene Djan, Gyamfi, Dogo Moro, all on a waiting list for the future. Same with other unsung dignitaries. We do not have thinkers as leaders and that is the cause of our dysfunctional society.

The "yard stick" to me is Nkrumah because if Ghana searches we can find some one close to him to lead us. Some one with charisma, vision, love for country and for the citizens, some one who knows what our goals are and some one who knows the consequences if we fail and some one with knowledge and skill. Nkrumah was excellent and he gets grade "A++" He even became the spokesman for the Black man in the whole world. I think K4 and JJ are far better than Mahama who gets grade "D" Those 2 guys at least had confidence and other African countries wished they had leaders like them, they made some mistakes but one could see they were able to move the country forward in the right direction. Mahama on the other hand lacks all the attributes that goes to make a good leader. He is not fair, I percieve him to be corrupt, I may be wrong but I think if his brother can afford a private jet in a country where the average man lives on less than a dollar a day, there is good reason to believe that family is corrupt, they are no good. Look at the things that happened before and during the last election, Mills would have ordered police investigation into some of the criminal activities carried on by guys like Asiedu Nketia and others but Mahama just turned a blind eye. I think Mahama must do us a favor and resign because the country is going in the wrong direction.

ROBBING POOR PETER TO PAY RICH PAUL IS PLAIN STEALING AND LOOTING, AND VERY COUNTERPRODUCTIVE.
THERE'S NO BLESSING IN DOING THAT, AND MAHAMA WILL SOON REALISE THIS IF HE, MAHAMA, DOES NOT WANT TO LEARN FROM THE DUMB ATTA-MILLS' EXPERIENCE.
THERE'S NO BLESSING IN STEALING FROM POOR GHANAIANS TO FUND THE EXTRAVAGANT LIFESTYLES OF GHANA'S SELF-OPINIONATED LAZY CORRUPT LEADERSHIP.
MAHAMA MUST ALWAYS REMEMBER THE LAW OF KARMA, AND THE COMMON SENSE RULES OF NATURAL JUSTICE.
TO EVERY ACTION, THERE'S AN EQUAL AND OPPOSITE REACTION. THIS IS ONE OF THE BASIC NATURAL PHYSICAL LAWS. MAHAMA MUST REMEMBER THIS.

Ghana must open up to private companies to deliver tenders on electric power production. How can you expect growth when the power is off half of the time in the capital nowadays? Ghana should open up for tenders for solar power facilities now that the prices are low.
With increased power production, you can secure water supply too, as water pumps needs power to bring the water to the businesses and households.
Ghana has plenty of sun, plenty of water!
Secondly, please remove those children from waste fillings that are dying slowly trying to earn a few cedis by removing copper and other valueable components from waste fillings in Accra.
Thirdly, deny the ships coming to Ghana with 90 % useless environmental trash like old obsolete cars, computers and a hole range of other trash access to your ports!
Ghana did a mistake when inviting the whole world to send second hand computer hardware to help bridge the digital gap between Ghana and the so-called first world. Ghana's government must take action and stopping those ships from accessing their ports! Send them out on the ocean again! Send them back to Germany, Netherlands, Norway.
Greetings from me, a native citizen of Norway that were lucky to visit Ghana in 2012. I stayed 6 weeks in Ghana and had a great time. Many things were good, and some things were bad. The power outages were extremely annoying. The same with water disruption. Like the one time I had soaped in my entire body and then the water stopped. What was I supposed to do! LOL. I was saved because I managed to get a thin ray of water from the handwash sink, just enough to remove the soap from my body.
I have not visited a Ghana again since this time, in February and March 2012.
Next time I visit I plan to bring a 12 KG heavy Uninteruptable Power Supply with me (A German brand), so that I will still have power for my electronics when the power outages begin again. I hear this is daily now in Accra, while when I was there in 2012, it was only about 3 times a week. The power should always be on! You must produce more power! Period!

Thieves have now metamorphosed into politicians and are parading the corridors of power stealing, robbing, grabbing, nyanfu nyanfu like there's no tomorrow. Now you all see where the country is headed?
It was not for anything that right and well meaning Ghanaians were criticizing the gov't of Mills-Mahama and now Amissah Arthur, and until we accept the glaring fact that, this inept and incompetent administration just cannot deal with the issues, Ghanaians should just kiss the improvement in their life's situation goodbye. The Mills-Mahama-Amissah Arthur administration doesn't have the brain capacity to address the issues and it's the bare, honest, in your face fact, take it or leave.
