Ghanaians should reason up and support whoever becomes the Prez after the ruling. Nothing will change overnight. What I would expect is any prez should balance the political appointments according to tribes because Ghanaians are incurably tribalists. All tribes or ethnic groups in Ghana have qualified people to serve in any government. I will also suggest that the winner take all mentality should be eschewed. If for example Mahama is maintained as the president and he sees some people in NPP, CPP or any other party who is efficient and can work with, that person should be appointed to help in government. That is what is done in Germany, Britain and USA.
Now Oliver, if Akuffo Addo becomes the prez, what really can you do? You shall be one of the first to run and hide under your bed if the soldiers and police are released to control any stupid acts of demonstration.
Any person who decides to cause havoc because the results did not favor his/her party is a damn fool because if you are hurt or the security people get you and manhandle you, or even if you die, who then wins. Ghana is a land of laws and they must be respected.
One thing I like about this petition is it will make the electoral commission be more responsible because Ghana's democracy has matured and electorates cannot be taken for granted. They must learn from Afari Gyan's grilling. At first he, and many of us thought he was untouchable but we saw he was not above the law. Elections will be more transparent from now.
