"Where's the guy who owns this place?"
The bartender replied,"Upstairs, with my wife."
The man asked: "What's he doing upstairs with your wife?"
The bartender replied, "The same thing I'm doing to his business down here."

Ghana is not an exception to economic challenges! Even Kuffour faced it and Ghana became HIPIC? so why all the noise? we should look at the issue beyond party politics and rather look at the interest of the nation first!

Anyway, my concern with the current state of things is that gov't seems lost. I keep hearing ministers saying the economy is fine, some saying 20% decline in cocoa is good for quality, 3 wisemen still talking about an ultramodern airport being a priority in Ghana, minister talking about building a nuclear plant. Even TUC doesn't believe that SSSS accounts for what gov't is claiming. All we hear are lies and propaganda and that is what needs to be addressed first.
Why isn't parliament summoning these ministers to give proper accounts. Why aren't the journalists in Ghana going out and at the very least asking these questions, writing editorials to highlight the issues facing the nation.
Can this gov't please first account for the true state of the union. What are our budget projections for the next 3 years, what are they doing about the water and power problems - with real details, timelines, obstacles and objectives. How are they planning to address ever increasing budget deficit; which to those who don't know is at the highest level its ever been. Several hundred percent higher than when K4 left just in case anyone else wants to be dismissive and say we've always seen things like this.
This country is falling apart and for some strange reason the common man is more interested in expressing their support for the NDC or NPP than in understanding the state of the thing.
