Since before independence we have been plagued by all sorts of ruthless , vicious and willfully authoritative govts that all have one thing in common , denying the right of free speech and proper analysis of the motives and agendas they seek to keep hidden . Most of these govts were led by people who didnt belong to the majority but rather minority tribes and very marginal political clans . starting with nkrumah who is praised to high heaven but this same oligarchy , he st in motion a climate of fierce political antagonism whereby moderate minds of a liberal persuasion had no business in participating as only the radicals could stand the heat .The MOTIVE , be able to spend without consensus or agreement the wealth of the nation ie in today's jargon chop Ghana money some . This style and system of government was perfected by kwasea rawlings and today we have pepeni whose agenda is finalse the colonization of the majority , the Akans with the assistance of the homicidal ayigbe and the idiot pepefuo . they now use the institution called the supreme court to gag all free thinking individuals so the climate is set to enslave and now steal the oil and gas. they tell us nkrumah was so good so i say to them we hope ghana breaks up and their first presidents are just like him. when we secede we give them all the gold reserves in Switzerland and pay them another 20 billion on top so these ewes and pepefuo are rich and let their nkrumah come and spend that money in 2 years and leave them in debt for 2000 years , that is our revenge . hopefully their first nkrumah presidents are just as manipulative and propagandists so a greater part of that money is used to secure the unity of the universe as thats a very good thing not only african or nigger unity . the rest of the money we graciously leave them should be used in establishing useless unsustainable businesses that only feed other economies and drain their own . yes we wish them well as they have to us for over 60 years . we in the meantime Akans will build a nation truly worthy of our capabilities and potentials with a minimum wage of not less than 10,000 dollars so our beers in our bars are at least 100 dollars so these pepefuo and ayigbe idiots can not afford to visit us just like the Japanese do to their ndc idols the Chinese , long live the republic of Akan

He practically froths at the mouth at the mention of "Asante". When I said that I didn't hate the Asantes, he was categorical that he hated them with all his heart. He said, I, Andy-K, didn't know how the Asantes were like and reeled off some grievances, one being that even the Sefwis and others sharing boundary with them, what they say about them, you'd feel like going to hang yourself if you were one of such people with such a negative imagery thrown at you. I just wonder what could be worse than what is thrown at we Ewes, as I didn't ask him. I soon found it wise not to discuss politics with him, since he gets so agitated and very angry and I don't want to lose a good customer. Ewes, among themselves, just laugh off and brush aside taunts thrown at them; perhaps, with some retort about not wasting time on those "bush people". Some of us are critical of that, "don't mind them" mentality though, and have been countering the negative and prejudices images.

Clearly, sane and sensible Asantes have a big task taming these jaded elements among them. They are pissing off everybody.

Is Akyea, MP (and advocate) now accusing the SC justices of "bias" and mis-rule? He forgets that his own behaviour did not demonstrate that he was a good advocate. To say that they did not allow him to express himself is nothing short of taking what was a bad case to yet another level of 'farce'.

Akyea's credibility as an advocate and MP in my view are severely dented and rather than make it worse, he should be advised to eat humble pie and 'leak his self-inflicted wounds'.

We are aware that our president has know clue about statecraft by his performance and abject failure. His appointment are ridiculous and his decisions are childish. As for our parliamentarians everybody agree that they are all greedy and devoid of any sense of patriotism; but until recently we assumed that we had a competent court. Now our judges have proved beyond all reasonable doubt that they are equally incapable of helping us. No doubt Ghana has been a failure. The answer is in a complete change that will mean right -side up. The whole government system and structure should be overturned for better results and for future progress and prosperity.

In contempt of court proceedings,there is a prima facie evidence that a crime had been committed.So it for you to show that you did not publish that contempt even if it is the truth it is a crime because there is no defense other than that the crime had not been committed.Certainly it must meet the requirement of contempt which was met in this case.

Contempt of court is usually
regarded as a "strict liability offence, and therefore, it is said, requires no mens rea at all. However,it must be shown that the accused intended to publish the offending material. Although an intent to prejudice proceedings is unnecessary, it is a crucial factor in deciding the appropriate punishment.

That is why the culprit is given the opportunity to purge himself of the contempt to mitigate his or her punishment.Even in normal trials after the accused is found guilty he or she is given the opportunity to say something in mitigation.If Akyea doesn't know this then I afraid he is not worth the title lawyer.

Ghanaians journalists do not know English. They just go into the dictionary and take words and use them out of context. An example is this very article. "the embattled lawyer" is out of context. What makes the lawyer embattled? Embattled is connected to danger or trouble. Is this lawyer in in danger or in trouble of any kind? And that is what misinform the readers. Go back to school and learn English expressions so that you can give the reader of your articles something better. Don't just use words because they exist in the dictionnary. One of those expressions is "modus operandi" what does it mean to the ordinary person reading the article? so if I don't understand this expression, then your article is of no use to me. Let me tell you I've done languages and especially latin, greek and hebrew, but I don't use them when am speaking or writing to the ordinary man.

What did they teach them at law school? A lot of our lawyers are unclear about contempt. The concert in the court beggars belief.

We are now practising official Palm Tree Justice in a Kangaroo Court. Makaa Maka. The judges cannot even define contempt. Are we in a criminal or civil court? They should be impartial and stop listening to anonymous people reporting all sorts. The whole world is watching!
