And after the NPP had worked hard to rescue the country from a highly indebted poor country and made it a middle income country, they resurfaced in 2008 with unimaginable,mind-boggling lies and intimidation to win the election.

Accra, Ghana (PANA) - Ghana's President John Dramani Mahama has been invited by the British Prime Minister, David Cameron, to next Saturday's G8 Summit on Tax, Trade and Transparency in the UK, the Office of the President announced here Wednesday.

An official statement from the Flagstaff House in Accra said President Mahama would leave Accra on Wednesday for London at the invitation of Mr. Cameron and join other heads of state and government at the Lancaster House on Saturday for the Summit.

It said the two leaders were also scheduled to hold bilateral talks on Friday at No. 10 Downing Street before attending the Summit."

How should a country like Ghana go out with hands out begging for financial help? Is it not a shame to these rulers or leaders? We know governments borrow. Yes. But why borrow for everything when truly, are wallowing in riches! Not poverty!

Towards election time, take some of your state looted monies and bribe the most loudest talkertives in the local communities with a television or lap top and some cash to influence other poor people to canvass support for NDC sakabo. Its won them the means to rob a country of everything God gave to us.

The two conditions precedent to the effectiveness of the contract were never met by Waterville, and the Kuffuor admiistration rightfully and legally, abrogated the contract.
The contract was in two parts: renovation of the Ohene Djan and Baba Yara stadia, and the construction of new stadia.
Waterville had started the renovation of the Ohene Djan and Baba Yara stadia so the government paid them for the work done. Watervile claim that they in turn, paid Woyome for work he had done for them, out of the money the Kuffuor administration paid them.
Waterville acknowledged this in a letter. Why would they go to court to claim we owed them money three years later? Why would Woyome, who admits to having no contract with the government, also go to court around the same time to claim money from us?
Who is usurping the power of the Supreme Court? If you were objective, yo would be concerned that this happened during the tenure of the unfortunate Prof Mills. Did people take advantage of his illness? Why were key members of the NDC, notably lawyers, vehemently defending and supporting Woyome, and by inference, Waterville?
Whatever your political colour, be advised that this is one case that transcends the barriers of party political posturing. It is bleeding Mother Ghana we should be defending , and not the selfish vermin who call themselves Ghanaians, but who would aid international companies to inflict even more injuries, on her already bloodied nose.
Nobody sponsored this. Mr Amidu went to court as an accredited member of the NDC determined to see justice through. The fact he won means that we still have Ghanaians who have integrity, people we should be proud of.
Bravo! CITIZEN VIGILANTE.

Let's separate these bastards from their loot and put them in jail for a long time and trust me, officials will think twice before they commit such malfeasance. Furthermore, the lawyers who orchestrate these schemes should be disbarred because they are not worthy to belong to the noble profession. If Mahama wants to set a tone for transparency and honest government, he needs to put all these guys in jail unless he is also so tainted that he is scared of the boomerang effect of doing so.

Why is it that only Justice Dotse's ruling on the matter is available for publication by the Daily Guide? Is it because he is known to be an NPP member? It is not a secret - this is well known. Are some members of the judiciary losing their independence? Why should his statement be interpreted by the Daily Guide to mean that government functionaries colluded with Woyome and Waterville to dupe Ghana? After all it was the judiciary that gave the judgement, not the government. Why did the lower court not refer the matter to the supreme court for interpretation. Justice Dotse should direct his comments to his own people in the lower courts, they are the people letting the country down.

If Judge Dotse is bold enough to comment on Ghana Vs Waterville or Woyome then he, like the other 8 Justices, ought to have the spine to talk about where the abuse took place. If Ghana's government under Kufour and NPP had not usurp the public bidding process, there would have not been the need for money to exchange hands between Ghana's government and Waterville from the get go.
What is happening to this judge and the others are the very things that are happening in the larger society; no thought process and surely no shame for being partisan and or tribal in court rulings. Courts are built and staffed with judicious minds to render judgments that can stand the test of time. What these fools did was shirk their responsibilities. And as long as the cause of the brouhaha was not touched/addressed by these Justices governments yet to come will continue to engage in the very silliness Kufour dabbled in to get Ghana into other judgment debt in the coming years.
If Kufour and his team did not do anything beyond reproach why then did Ghana and Waterville exchange money from the start?

The level of rot, malfeasance, corruption, unmitigated sycophancy and outright incompetence and ineptitude coupled with the sheer and reckless abandonment, with which the NDC gov't has handled the affairs of governance is simply amazing and stupendous. It's mind boggling. This is party which has made it a fundamental right to plunder, pilfer, loot and steal from the national purse, right from the seat of gov't, with no remorse whatsoever. and to add insult to injury, one of the major architects and players being the contested President John Mahama, had no shame presiding over such malfeasance, but had the temerity to actually describe it as " the meat is now left to the bones", seeking to suggest that, Ghanaians by some twist of fate had partaken in the "gargantuan chewing of this juicy meat".
Ghanaians deserve better if not the best than these reckless, conscienceless, brazen, accomplished thieves who have nothing better to offer the nation in terms of addressing the various socio-economic development challenges facing the country and by extension the masses. This is a party for which CRIME IN ALL IT'S RAMIFICATIONS is rewarded, eg the Attorney General, the Vice President, the First deputy speaker of parliament, the Lithurs, etc, etc.

This Woyome case gives one the impression that everyone involved had been bribed. The State's Attorney charged with prosecuting the case, the NDC financier, various parties in the office of the President, some members of the bench, etc. No wonder Woyome describes himself as the financier. It was his job to distribute the loot to the various people involved. Mind you, the stealing that went on here is not the only incidence of stealing of state resources on a massive scale. Bribing of key people during the elections will be another point of corruption.
