Airline running is not like like trotro or taxi. That was the reason Ghana airways collapsed. Ghanaian mentality and common sense does not play here. It is a business. The minister appeal, the minister urged, the minister pleaded are all bullshit and will not work. Calculations, projections, profit etc . By the way Virgin has pulled out of more lucrative and busier routes and what are we saying there? The thinking of the entrepreneur is not cheap like what is happening in Ghana now. They will come when they will make profit, unlike the Ghana airways that flew, non profit making until all the planes were grounded; some in Rome, US, Liberia etc. That is the difference between an entrepreneur and a senseless thinker with a title.

Suggesting a brand new agricultural program which include the creation of hybrid seeds , the plantation of this seeds, etc what are you smoking over there? What about hon lobbing to reduce aviation fuel for these airlines pronto , today today. Why does Ghana always propose solutions that lacks immediate effectiveness?.. Why my people.

The comment is from somebody who does not understand the aviation business. Did Virgin Atlantic give the lack of the so-called "Bio-diesel" as the reason behind his decision. Are Branson's aircraft flying on Bio-diesel?
A good advice in general but one that seems rather tangential to the heading of this article.

Virgin can fly to the US with an empty plane just to preserve it's slot.
Service to Ghana is more seasonal, and they can balance the books as they charge 3x as much as a flight to NY.
