When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

The NDC would have to explain to Ghanaians how a dead man came to author and sign a letter!
The opening paragraph states, “I came to serve; I have finished my time here on earth and have moved on to everlasting rest and celestial duties with my heavenly father.”
The immediate question is; how did the dead man come to sign his own personal tribute, since he is already in heaven?
The letter then goes on melodramatically, “As you leaf through these pages of my life’s story, I pray to God that it touches your heart in many positive ways. Weep not, I am not dead. I am alive and awake in the Lord. Ghana will not die; Ghana will live to declare the works of the Lord. As I rest in perfect peace in the celestial realms with my maker, I pledge to always uphold and defend the good name of Ghana. Remember the Lord in all your ways and He will protect you. Stay well my brothers and sisters, I will always be with you. Signed (with actual signature) John Evans Atta Mills...

Although, I applaud Mahama for writing his memoir, at least it is better than none. Yale University is adopting the book because they have not many books they can choose from on African leadership.
Moreover, I don't think Mahama's book covered most of the pertinent issues relevant to Ghana and Africa that the Yale course outline indicates.
Did Mahama's book addressed the following questions:
1. What checks does the executive face on his power?
2. How do African leaders distribute scarce resources?
3. Is African governance effective?
4. What mechanisms do African voters have to hold their politicians accountable?
5. How do Africans decide who to vote for?
6 What do citizens do when the state
fails?
7. Why is Africa growing so slowly? 8. What is the role of governance in dampening growth?
Is Mahama's government addressing the above issues? If his book addressed the above issues I don't his underperforming behaviour will occur. He is preaching virtues and practising vice, very corrupt in deed and lacks integrity.

People like you, Observer, lack intellectual skills to criticise on intellectual reasoning alone, hence you resort to insults and expletives.
I criticised Mahama based on the Yale University's course content which I found very pertinent to the subject matter.
Whilst Yale University is interested in Mahama's life history/memoir, they are not only analysing it for its own sake, they are going to analyse it with its ramifications on all Africans in terms of its political, economical and social impact on all of us.
People like you, Observer, lack exposure and enlightenment. Upgrade and/or udate you intellectual reasoning if you have any.

Much has being documented already about the big coup man, JJ, but I guess they want a book from the prism of a man born with a silver spoon in his mouth until all was taken away from him. But he is back...let's see how he puts it right. Bravo Mahama.
As for JJ this shows he is a lazy bum; for if he had written some books about his daring coup de tats he would have got money to build all his mansions and own more lands and leave these ones for poor Ga Chiefs. What an empty barrel.

It is really not a political book. The title is designed to generate interest but I think that it is appropriate for a college course on African politics because it lets one get a feel of what Ghana was like in the 60s, 70s and 80s. I would recommend it to all. We need more books like this. It is not about political parties.

Any person who have taken African studies in America or Canada would probably think twice before jumping up and down about this. Just read what they are going to discuss as instructed by their lecturer-
1- We will discuss the legacies of colonialism, the characteristics of the African state,
2- the behavior of African citizens,
3-and the causes of slow growth.
4- Underlying the material of the course, however, will be the question “Is there such a thing as African politics?”
I hope some of you will be there when they start talking about the backwardness of the African people with their stupid culture and tradition....please do not insult me because it is bound to happen. Just ask yourself why they are not going to talk about the "rapid growth" but rather the "slow growth." Does that tell you that they have formed their own ideas about you?
The class will have a laugh if found out that the whole country is talking about the course they are taken and that will fit in perfectly on (2) about - the behavior of the African.

These students at Yale who read Mr. Mahama'a book will realize that in Ghana you just need to do nothing in order to succeed in staging your first coup d'etat.
Mr. John Mahama obtained very mediocre grades at the secondary school. He was not admitted to Legon on the courses he had chosen. Instead, he was admitted to read history because he is from then north.
At Legon, Mr. John Mahama obtained a Third Class Degree in History of Ghana !!
After Legon, Mr. Mahama was jobless for several years. Then, his northen friends, particularly Alhaji Huduu Yahaya, included his name in the students scheduled to "study" in Russia. After two years, Mr. John Mahama returned to Ghana from Russia and claimed he had obtained a Master Degree in Communication.
What Ghanaians are unaware is the fact that a Maters Degree in Russia has a duration of two years. But, coming from Ghana makes one study the Russian Language for one academic year prior to the study itself. This means that Mr. John Dramani Mahama should have stayed in Russia for three years.
As his former colleague in Russia, Mr. John Mahama did not complete the study in Russia. He was expelled because he rapped a young Russian lady. Hence, he was given 72 hours to leave Russia.
Probably, this episode might be what he might write as his First Coup d'Etat.

The students will realize how empty the president is. So indecisive that everything decision is plagued with consternation. That boy mahama should never have been president, he never says anything encouraging to the citizens.

Nana Addo is quite smart enough to write a book, but he won't because he's busy stirring up trouble; as for Kufuor, hmmm it'll have to be edited at Manhyia.

Ghana's problems remain.
This is a big deal. The president has ideas. It's our job as a nation to embrace them and practically allow them to be implemented. In other words, give Mahama administration the needed chance to work.
The NPP is made up of HATERS OF TRUTH so they will never acknowledge it. See what they did to Dr Nkrumah; THEY BURNT AS MANY OF HIS BOOKS AS THEY COULD. Is it worth entrusting this country into their hands? NO, NEVER AGAIN.
When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, h ...

Although, I applaud Mahama for writing his memoir, at least it is better than none. Yale University is adopting the book because they have not many books they can choose from on African leadership.
