The Politician collected money personally from the Chinese government who shipped the Chinese to Ghana by the government of China. Ghanaian don't sit and watch this dump any Chinese in the villages cities any where into the sea. Don't waste your time arresting them and handing them over to the police.Is your country....finish them off.

Galamsey is not the problem but surface mining is. It is just the same as Timber merchants vrs chain saw operators in Ghana. The legal miners using heavy duty machines to mine are those being called illigal miners. Galamsey has been with us before the comming of europeans but it is the coming of surface mining introduce in the early 1990s at Ayanfury that started the whole problem. Govt should think about choosing surface mining or undergroung mining and stopping shifting the post and calling it Galamsay.

I have seen Galamsey operators at Ahafo Ano North areaa; Amansie areas; and other localities. These operators are the unemployed youth from the localities who are engaged in a dangerous activity merely to survive. They hope to strike a little gold to take care of themselves and their families. The last thing on their mind is funding any 'terrorists' group.

Terrorists groups fund their nefarious activities through many illegal activities. Galamsey is hardly one of these!

He seems to have confounded the typically dumb govt officials with his dubious credentials leading to him quite often being given the platform to spew out what you rightly refer to as hallucinatory accusations. I think he must hauled in and made to prove the wild allegations he is making against the much abused rural people of this country who are doing small galamsey to survive.

Anin has observed the lucrative modus operandi of the many foreign-financed, so-called NGO's. You start some outfit, use the right lingo and seek publicity at every turn and your foreign funds will start pouring in like the proverbial manna from heaven. What better way to get Western funding than to create a connection to terrorism (where there is none!) and sensationalize it in the media!
