There is not a single wise person in that group of idiots called ndc. the only 3 wise among the: Sekou, Amidu and Nana Konadu have pulled out.

It isn't that Ghana is not producing enough midwives; the problem could be attributed to brain drain. Since the socio-economic conditions are not favorable, the midwives have travelled outside to seek for greener pastures.

Yes, ya right. If health workers are not treated well, brain drain is what happens. Ghana trains many hundreds of teachers annually but because of the way they are treated, they leave when they get the least opportunity, if i ... read full comment
Yes, ya right. If health workers are not treated well, brain drain is what happens. Ghana trains many hundreds of teachers annually but because of the way they are treated, they leave when they get the least opportunity, if it even means to become a laborer where he can earn enough to support himself and family. You remember the '70s when teachers left for Nigeria? That is happening in the health sector now.

What is the government waiting for? Just bring 2000 midwives from Cuba and the problem will be solved. Then send SHS/JHS leavers from deprived areas to Cuba for training as midwives.
