I am suprise the government is wasting all these money. I met a ghanaian student on gov't scholarship studying how to access asphalt quality. Accessing asphalt is done by prisoners in the USA. The cost of training one of these students runs into $100,000 in two years. We can improve our Universities with the money spent overseas. Most of these students are not studying anything unique.

Dear Stranded UK Students:
1. Do you cherish our pluralistic political democracy?
2. Do you cherish the market system of our economy that goes with our democracy?
3. If you say "yes" to questions 1 and 2 above, then, one can conclude that you do cherish the "freedoms and liberties" concomitant with the 2 premises above.
4. If your conclusion in item 3 is correct and valid, then you must also, at least, tacitly cherish the "competitions" that go with the freedoms and liberties.
In short, you are on your own. Don't turn to the government to sholve your personal problems. The government's primary role is to set the rules and regulations to make the competitions just and fair.
Some of the most successful Ghanaians in diaspora achieved the heights of successes without any financial assistance from the Ghana government. They did it through self-cultivation, self-discipline and hard work.
Yes, we did it far away under adverse, severe, and, at times, hostile and discouraging foreign conditions. We even excelled in our universities and carrers. Our peckets were deflated, but our heads were inflated with pride in Ghana and Africa. We did it by ourselves, and on our own.
