very true , Ghana is over but the pandora box of hegemony ,ethnocentrism , chauvinism , tribal rascism , institutional corruption and veiled ideological hate has been opened. it is only a matter of time when the country breaks up peacefully or in war . one can not in these times bury one's head in the sand like an ostrich but should prepare for the once unthinkable . its pay day for all the evils and stubbornness of the corrupt political oligarchy of the last 60 years who have neglected their obligations to the ordinary man for their own selfish gains. today the whispers are slowly becoming thundering shouts for freedom and yes Ghana can never be the same . it changed the day atta mills was brutally murdered and this govt refused an inquest so the truth be known . long live the republic of Akan

If Ghana not broke show us the money. Is this man living on a different planet? If the country is not broke then there must be something disgustingly outrageous wrong with the government and it ways of management.
The nation is not broke, so why the huge social economic hardships?
Why job insecurity, poverty, no infrastructure, hospitals not equipped, no medications to cure our sick, children hospitals closing down, roads turned into death traps, chaotic social security mess, despicable youth unemployment including young graduates walking aimlessly on our streets, Doctors, Pharmacists, Teachers, Nurses, and other civil servants have to go on strikes to demand for their salary payments, children education and classes still being conducted under trees and half building structures, no proper mechanized tools and provision of fertilizers for our farmers, unbearable transportation fares, filthy gutters choked with horrible environment in out cities full of garbage, shortage of ordinary basic needs like drinking water and electricity?
I can go on and on and on to write about the gargantuan social hardships facing the nation and people for you to tell us that Ghana under your corruptly criminal Mahama led guinea fowls government is not broke.
How can a government spend over 8.7 million on a national budget yet have no a single structure to prove where the money went?
With the likes of you in sensitive political positions, no wonder our national priority is guinea fowls project.

Mr Tekper, thanks for assuring us that Ghana is not broke as speculated. This is a very good news from the horse's own mouth, the man who holds and handles the nation's purse. From the analogy drawn by Mr Tekper may I take it that after the increase in expenditure the family will still have 200 as balance remaining. This of course does not indicate broke at all. However may I ask the following questions:
1. Does this increase of 300 include all the arrears in salaries and wages to public sector employees and other creditors such as contractors?
2. Given that the increase of 300 includes all the above, why is it that Doctors, teachers, contractors etc have not been paid their wages which they are legally entitled to? After all there is a healthy balance of 200. Why wait all these while for strikes which have cost lives if the money is there?
3. Mr Tekper it is better to be honest as a Professional than tow the line of Politicians.

From my understanding this guy Terkper is one of the brilliant students of Economics and Finance and even had the opportunity to attend Havard University but like TSAtsu Tsikata with his display at court ; his practical application of the law ; whwn needed seems wanting ; the same with Mr Terpkor; to my amazement; I do not think this guy has taken trouble to keep up to date with trends in geo-economics finance of late ; the example he gave to ilustrate his point about Ghana not being broke indicates his incompetence in this field because such example is too simple; did he really say this ; what he should understand is ;if you earn GHC3000 and spend GHC 2500 of course the balance will be GHC300 on paper ; but simple variable macro-economics expenditure should have told him that ; in Government it does not like that ; you earn before you spend ; therefore along the line you may be likely to concede an expenditure of GHC600 in your budget ; which means you shall be broke on paper ; this is what is happening in Government; the Governments estimates that ; they are perhaps in black but the current demands on the budget and future extra payments means the expenditure far exceeds its income ; he talks about liquidity management ; how the hell do you manage your liquidity when your macro-economic variables are leaking like a sewer ; when taxes are not being paid and when there is massive corruption and unauthorised payment to certain people;he read the congressional hearing on tax invasion and avoidance by complex mechanism by Google and other big multi-national Companies ;on the issue of bonds ; what Terkper should tell everybody and the lay man is that he is borrowing money from abroad to fill in the deificit but that will accrue interest ; it is not free money it will have to be paid back with interest ; the cost on the present money market although low in the context of the amount involved it is extremely costly ; do not forget that the Government have in the past issued such bonds which have not even matured yet for payment; the Finance Minister is bein reckless with the truth to Ghanaians.

I'm very pleased that Mr Terkper the finance minister has boldly come out with the statement that we need liquidity management for the Ghanaian economy.
Liquidity management must surely involve some process of setting sensible proirities in oder to make it effective without causing undue hardships for the people in the near future.
Mr Terkper, I hope you'll advise your president to stict to and respect constitutional procedures in the event of securing loans on behalf of the nation. If he fails to do the lawful thing, like he's trying to do now regarding the $3billion Chinese loan, he'll be doing Ghana a great disservice.
As a person from the north who had free education at the expense of the poor tax-payer, he must show in his stewardship enough gratefullness for what for him and most of his ministers.
We've only God or nature to blame for the part of the country we come from and so it's not the fault of southerners that some of the people of Ghana are from the north of the country.
Any sign of failure to pay us with gratitude should be condemned in no uncertain terms.
Without any rush, the president must consider building infrastucture in the county to a good standard before thinking of an international airport in the north because of the guinea fowl project and haij(to tourism in another country).
