Let`s face it, how was this KPMG verification or count team "going to go by it step-by-step",if it did not first 'esablish' what needed to be counted? Was this vault,strongroom or "storageroom" specifically set aside for this for this petition`s exhibits? According to NDC legal team member,lawyer Adawuga,the boxes that were 'displayed' for viewing by all the parties present, comprised of 24 boxes,clearly marked as per the petitioner`s classification outlined in paragraphs 44-67 of their pleadings. So, following from what he described as having transpired last Thursday,where did the 'new' set of boxes containing 'lumped' together exhibits that run counter to what had been delineated by the petitioners? , For instance, why would you have 'new' boxes containing same exhibits that had already been neatly segragated and marked in boxes,mysteriously appear,lumped together and marked differntly from the earlier boxes? Does this make any sense? And wher did Gloria Akuffo get her info that the new additions were the result of "mislabelling"! Any perso who has any training in storage andits allied recrd keeping protocls will realize that these 'facile' explanations to white this strange turn of events just do not make sense! Given all the 'brouhaha' that has taken with regard to the count of pink shhets delivered by the petitioners,is reasonable to expect these registry officials,who have lwful custody of these materials, not to have already initiated steps to 'help' the court resolve this confusion,even before the official orede was handed down? Many of us may not be lawyers or accountants,but we are not that dumb,you know. We can all tell which way is up!

Please, please, please, we are not stupid. We deal with this on daily basis. Auditing and Inventory are like Siamese twins, inseparable, unless someone is unqualified to be an auditor, or plainly corrupt. The man is either dishonest or covering the incompetence with instructions not given. No one should have to instruct and auditor to record headcounts of items delivered to him. My third grade daughter will count stuff given to her.

This can make or break the country so let us not take this lightly. This fool of a WINFUL takes Ghanaians to be fools.

Remember the Judges will rule on wheather any irregularities if any affected the outcome of the declaration. That will be based on the numbers! If the Judges do not have a clear knowledge of the numbers then it will be like a baskeball or football game where the referee has to make a call and will have to make the call on the field stand. Hope you understand what is at stake here, the NPP will be the loser then.

Tsatsu has resorted in manufacturing stories of blame game to create confusion and allegations outside the real case at stake so to bring every body into disrepute so it will create another "criminal case" outside the main case. These are all bullshit and delay tactics to buy time for the "stealers" stay in power. Tsatsu can dribble pass some people but not all Ghanaians "tofiakwa" by runnig away from the truth. Why is Tsatsu running away from the main analysis, the CD rom and only touching on things outside? KPMG has therefore come out to expose the evil machinations. The National security rather wanted to tamper and when it failed they made a U-turn to invent a story to blame others. The truth will come out because the malpractices of rigging are so many that it can not be ignored [not just hundred..not just a thousand but in 11 thousands and over.....

That was a very lame and strange one coming from the senior partner. I am told to count items which are in boxes and I just go straight to count what is inside without first counting the boxes? The first thing I would do is to note the number of containers and in this case boxes holding the items by counting them. When that is done then I proceed to count the individual items. Even then I would count and record what is inside each box before I do the tallying. This is something simple even our illiterate folks know and do on daily basis. What more about an accounting firm? If this is the philosophy of KPMG then I am at a loss as to why they were contracted in the first place to count the pink sheets. I don't think they would do a good job without raising eyebrows. The premise they have started on is bogus and less convincing; either that or their representative does not know his left from his right.

If you are to take inventory in say 10 houses and you just go into the houses without knowing that there are 10 houses how are you gonna account for the itmes house by house? A good auditor will first want to know how many boxes there are and not how they are packed.

His defence that their mandate was clear was rather a lazy comment. The clear mandate was to count the pink sheets, yes, but the sheets were stored in boxes and the first control measure should have been how many boxes there were. Does this guy know Internal Control Procedures? He must be educated on the subject because it seems he lacks the knowledge. Nobody should defend this guy who has failed the first task of taking inventory of the boxes. He was interested only on how the boxes were stored leaving the a material part of how many they were. I cannot believe this is coming from KPMG

How would an acclaimed credible auditing firm KPMG commit such a blander and be happy to sell it out on the airwaves? Are they really an auditing firm, and do they understand the assignment given them as well as its importance and magnitude? Basic common sense should have tickled their brains to first know how many boxes are they about to work on, especially when the issue of tampering of evidence had been raised just after the SC wrote to them about the exercise and the subsequent allegations that National security operatives approached the Registrar of the SC for the keys to the storage room; unless they have some diabolic reasons best known to them for not taking that inventory.
Are they saying the Registrar did not at any point mentioned to them the total boxes involved? What if this same Registrar comes to tell them the number of boxes given them to audit is less or more than they are presenting to him after the audit?
If they are in bed with one of the parties, they better excuse themselves now before they contribute to potential havoc.
Even an illiterate villager when asked to do this job will first count to know how many boxes are involved and not just go into the room and glance at the packed boxes thinking all would be fine.
What a failure on their part from the start. They had the opportunity to advertise themselves to the whole world, especially in contributing to ascertain the truth in this high profile case and what did they do; your answer is no different from mine.

I would have thought with a court case of such magnitude, gravity and unparalleled national interest, where NUMBERS is the subject matter,KPMG would first and foremost count the boxes and even go ahead and label them with their own stickers as: 1 of 24, 2 of 24, 3 of 24 up to 24 of 24; assuming the total number of boxes is 24.

For KPMG to say they were not told to do that, means, they do not think outside the square or more appropriately, outside the BOX, thus they have created an imaginary boundary for themselves which does not speak well of such a 'reputable' accounting firm.
