Well-meaning Ghanaians are not surprised that Kufuor's government gave Newmont Gold Ghana and AngloGold Ashanti unprecedented privilege in their agreements. It is common for NPP government to give Ghanaian resources cheaply to overseas operators once they have their ten per cent backhanders or allowance to buy shares in their businesses.
