Ghana Media Commission should rather apologise to the military for its men violating simple instructions that protects president. It should again apologise to TB Joshua for gross violations of rules during his church program at the spintex. Military high command should see to stand firm by not bowing to politics and media. Military is like a swarm of bees, if you invite or activate them they will stink.

Ghanaian soldiers are not humans. Yes, they are not because of how they behave. They behave and act as if they are from the planet Mars. If you meet a soldier, just see their body language; it has a strong and damning message ie "we are above reproach and dare anyone".
Those who manhandled the journalist, should be dismissed just to send a clear signal to others that being a soldier is not a green light to be stupid and above the law.
In any advance nation, these rats, will be grilled and in plain language, will be told that they are humans and should respect the law but not in Ghana.

I have followed the whole story of soldiers manhandling journalists from the begining and not to sure if the GJA reflects the interest of journalists and in fact defenders of the rights of people and especially the downtrodden.
I have followed the body languages of and nuances as the military spoke on the issue and think the military is not sorry for what happened.
And acceptance of the so-called apology was disappointing. Yes we herd you, we would go back to our constituents and come to you. I think GJA executives went there to accept that apology and not listen to what they had to say, finnish. I pity those manhandled. Compensation!!!!!. What kind of compesation. Generally I think the journalist in Ghana is a disappointment. They in no way represent the interest of the people. Perhaps a few in the private sector and a handful in the public sector. Many are simply a gruop of favour seeking people hiding under the otherwise respectable cover of the media. If you like put them to the test of accoutability, probity, honesty, dignity and more and you would vomit. There are a few good and purposefull ones keep it up. To the rest, shame. I have a few journalist friends so I know.

Journalists have showered insults and all manner of words of condemnation on soldiers who they claim have assaulted them in the performance of their duties. Most often journalists in their curiosity do not want to be restricted and that probably resulted in the unfortunate incidence. I do not support any assault but the level to which this thing has been hyped has gone beyond the bar. Everybody has forgotten the sacrificial job of the soldiers who keep wake and have sleepless nights doing their patrols to make sure the same people get their sleep free of armed robbers and other thugs. Some even request for this very military to keep order during their private functions. I do not support assault on anyone by the soldiers but we also need to keep it in mind that to ere is human and as our elders say it is the one who goes with the pot to fetch water from the river side that breaks it in the course of service and duty. Some leniency is needed here. Now we have a case where bodyguards of TB Joshua have molested and gone beyond that to detain or put in detention journalists for so many hours. The journalists who were throwing insults and all that on soldiers who faulted in the performance of their official duties are not very silent over this case of private bodyguards who did not only assault but put them in detention for hours. I urge all those insulting the soldiers here on this page to get into action. This is the real action time. You are tearing down your own who has been protecting you all this while for a minor fault and now quiet when you have received the worse from someone who is here on his private business. Double standard journalists and insult bomb throwers. Again i say i do not support any assault by anybody. I condemn all sorts of assault.

Their activities are likely to trigger civil war in this noble country and it is time to halt them.
