Too much of political write ups and we certainly need such an insight dose of our past glorious and peaceful happy Ghana days.
As you mentioned Moro of Accra New Town, Malata market and the Bonsu Brothers, I thought you will as well remember the once popular fashon shop, Two Guys of Cow Lane and B.B Brothers at central Accra and the great Katamanto tailors and the famous shoe makers from where you can go increase the length of your father's old shoe to make it look like a perfect guarantee shoe to become a champion among your colleague guys!
Oh! Ghana, where did we went wrong to merit all these social economic miserable of untold hardships today?

Albeit, we our compass of fashion always point to the West! Even if borrow, could we be innovative. We have not been able export any indigenous fashion of ours.

Akadu!! The writer lamented the fact that since the days of Adwoa Yankey we had not done anything worthwhile with our local fashion industry. Stop whining about colonialism etc! This was just a trip down memory lane

Johnny, when are you going to write about nightlife in the 70s and 80s in Accra and by extension, Ghana....remember Zaga Walata, Sakumo Soundz,Classic Handels etc...those boys thrilled us to the bone...even though I was holed ... read full comment

Who can forget 'Adjeidu of Shapes' when it came to men's Agbada with the biggest shoulder pads. Those were the days of 'society magazine'. Please write something on clubs, discos etc . Well written.
