The banks will rather offer loans for 4 by 4 cars than see private businesses grow. Thus the sad truth. Sometimes one wonder where all the smart brains left for?

High Interest Rates? Where are the figures? 10%, 20%, 50% or what? Poor and hollow journalism.

lawlessness, robbery, cheating, insider theft, beaureaucracy, fears, suffering controls the middle class and commons. What relief does Bank of Ghana
provide to private sector enterprises imaging borrowing 100,000 Ghana Cedis attracting 30 Percent interest rate ?
Banks in Ghana exist to manupulates the public and slaughter private business .....So in the end Ghana's Bank exist to manipuates the masses/ customers and impose harsh living conditions on most struggling families and private sector businesses . That why more amore financial services are floding the domestic market each day.
Officials and staff operating in banks across Ghana are milking Ghanians and imposing debts sentence on customers who apply for loans.

come out in unions like brooms to lobby in public and in private. pesemenkomeya, will not only kill businesses but the whole nation. form consumer unions. most of these banks are money launderes. the only good money they have is what you pay them as interest. business community lend monies among yourselves for rapid turnovers. the only true and faithful enemy to inflation. do you want them to give out loans to buy cows or guinea fowls? it is easier to sell cars even at abrogated loss. they have been trained for years as future crooks. you should think more of yourselve as to do with your little monkey brain.

Ghana financial institutions are not interested in the average citizen. Instead of charging a reasonable interest rate and giving the Ghana citizen ample time to repay, they try to surpress the middle class and keep the interest rates high. So as to keep the money with the wealthy. More auto loans, more mortgage loans means more jobs, and the creation of a large middle class. Which of course means higher wages, ouch, this is what the banks and the wealthy do not want. At a 5% interest rate for a mortgage, at betwen 17 and 20 years repay, the interest rate will equal 100% of the original mortgage value, is this not enough profit for the banks? Ghana banks need to learn how to do business.

The private industries are operated mostly by finances from the banks. But here is the case the rates of interest are high due to the depreciation of the Ghanaian currency as against the foreign currency. The government should look to means of stabilizing the cedi so as to enable the banks control the rates of interest. The BoG should also decrease their base rates to help the banks in this regard
