As much as I hate to admit Rawlings was right with his statement. If they have had listen to those who were concern with the president health, he might be alive today.

What a sad and humiliation to Ghana armed force. Just shut up and express regret to the poor journalist, and the country as whole.

They think being journalist when they play the fool and punished they publish or broadcast it. The warning to them -all recalcitrant and disrespectful persons in society must take this warning. When a visitor to a small town in Nigeria came upon a wild dog attacking a young boy, he quickly grabbed the animal and throttled it with his two hands.
A reporter saw the incident, congratulated the man and told him the headline the following day would read, "Valiant Local Man Saves Child by Killing Vicious Animal."

The hero told the journalist that he wasn't from that town.

"Well, then," the reporter said, "the headline will probably say, 'Nigeria Man Saves Child by Killing Dog'."

"Actually," the man said, "I'm from Ghana."

"In that case," the reporter said in a huff, "the headline should read, 'Fulani Kills Family Pet'."

We are all Ghanaian's but sometimes
journalist makes things worse by telling people where they come from.Many Fulan's were born in Ghana but the media made it as if they were nomads and foreigners.

This is the reason why everyone is on strike in our country.As much as I believe that the journalist had a duty to perform, so were the soldiers and if both groups had been civil to each other, this wouldn't have happend. My friend tells me that 'RESPECT THE MAN WITH A GUN FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY' if this journalist had been maimed, he would have been suffering alone. Please be wise and apply wisdom to the performance of your duties. This is to the journalist. For the soldiers, the use of violence as means of controlling the populace is not right, because you will one day be a civilian and you may be on the receiving side.

Does this make sense? It appears almost all leaders in our public institution under the appointment of NDC are IDIOTS.

Under no circumstances should one citizen assault another with impunity. Abuse of civilians by soldiers has been the "norm" in Ghana, reaching alarming level during Rawlings' usurpation of power.

These soldiers do not even know their constitutional duty. They pump thier muscles at their barracks, come out and test their acquired muscles on civilians.

During Rawlings coup era, many useful civilians lost thier lives to this abuse metted out to them by these useless men in ironed-starched-Khakiis.

Soldiers are the reasons why Ghana or Africa is in this mess:Coup here, coup there, corrution that way, brutalities this way.

Col Atintande MUST get it straight that brutalizing civilians is NOT part of the soldiers' constitutional duties, and will not be torelated under our democracy. The soldiers involve this case SHOULD be released and prosecuted by our laws, and I'm NOT talking about marshall law, BUT civil law.

Soldiers are NOT our rulers: they should stay in barracks, otherwise, they could resign, put away their khakii anytime and revert to normal civilian life, otherwise remain in your confines and allow rule of law bidding the population to prevail.

Col Atintande NO civilian has to take instructions from you, no not in the civilian sphere. Enough of soldires' barbaric brutalities!!!
