The opening paragraph states, “I came to serve; I have finished my time here on earth and have moved on to everlasting rest and celestial duties with my heavenly father.”

The immediate question is; how did the dead man come to sign his own personal tribute, since he is already in heaven?

For some one who comes to Court with doctored serial numbers on duplicated pink sheets it seems a bit rich for Mr Bawumia to say the security of the form is highly compromised if the serial number is hand written. In what way? The serial number is a printer's error. The code and address are hand written and identify the polling station. The Agents signature lend further imprimatur to the recorded votes. LET MY VOTE COUNT

Bawumiah's case is now being shifted unwittingly towards technicalities. So if the serial number is wrong and the name of the polling station and address is correct,the results should be thrown away. What logic is this? Even in his own testimony the petitioners made mistakes, to the point of bringing in parliamentary pinks sheets into the presidential, all he could say was that he did not know how that happened. The elections were not perfect, there were errors here and there, even computers can churn out mistakes because they are made and operated by humans. Anyway nice trying by Bawumia, but he should know that the justices are not taken in by a stubborn witness who refuses to see what they have seen.

Serial number is one feature yes, but it is the most important as it is unique and cannot be manipulated. If as you say it is an error and only affects a small proportion of votes, then logic says it should not impact results, but if it is consistent and imapcts a large number of votes, then the impact becomes material and will affect the votes. No one say elections are perfect because no one is perfect, but if a situation arises where it seems the errors are not genuine errors but calculated and systematic, then that is a problem. We are too quick to accept our flawed systems and precedures, how can we improve with this sort of mentality. The only way we can reduce such errors to a bare minimum is through continueous improvements, it may sound like hard work but it will pay off eventually. Our acceptance of errors and flaws is reflected in our every day lifes and under development.

In an exam, if you fail to follow the rules and instructions, are you allowed to get away with it?

pls this is so elementary to warrant justification, every security document has very unique identifier, we detect counterfeit, cheque fraud , smugled cars and others with their serial or chasis number, even if the car is remoulded, the chasis and for that number the serial number will be the same, it is the most unique identifier whose authentication is beyound argument.the serial numbers will change because when you finish using your chqeue book the numbering continue, to suggest they be repeated clearly depict a lack of awareness of fraud detection, if the serial numbers are comprised, the integrity of the whole process is compromised, if they are substantial to have an impact, an audit should be conducted to confirm or refute and appropraite decision taken
