This is a company that have more than enough to pay even 500 employees. They are not above the law and should treat laborers who have toiled to make the company what it is now.

With the court proceedings underway, it appears those 159 workers could be paid what they are entitled to. Considering this giant company has over the years reaped the profits at the hardwork of its members, they should celebrate their success with all the staff not just the managers who never get the sack or resignation without entitlement. WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE GOOSE IS GOOD FOR THE GANDER. GTP should pay the employees who were sacked and get back to business. They is no need crying their business is stagnant. If they have such numerous accounts in Ghana, then it beggars believe why the greedy managers and directors are refusing to pay.

''As for Ghana that is how it works'' I remember a friend told me.When the institutions of a country fail, this is what you see. Nobody will disagree with me that our state institutions have failed to the core that we now have rely on expatriates to deal with our home affairs. In fact, I am getting sick of these non-directional ways. However, the unusual will take Ghana by surprise one day when people man up.

Here is a case that shows how the reckless disposal of archival material can cost a company. I know without a doubt that these workers were paid their severance benefits when they were laid off and some beneficiaries certified as such in court. Unfortunately the checkered history of frequent change in ownership, and government (the we no go sit down era)interference in the management of that company led to the loss of documents which included evidence of payment to these workers some of whom incidentally were re-engaged by the new management of the company. Ask yourself why it would take 25 years for workers to claim their due, and as someone asked, where was the TUC then? If a few greedy crooks succeed in crippling an innocent entity by taking advantage of the absence of vital documents due to an archival mess and in-house machinations, let them take the money but I tell you every liar and thief who does it will bring a curse on their families for the losses they will cause the innocent current workforce. Let us stand for truth and stop "woyomeing" upright establishments. LONG LIVE GTP!! This is another judgement debt that MUST NOT BE PAID!!
