The way Ghanaians blindly support their political parties on grounds of tribalism is very sad and shameful.In every civilized country as soon as an election period is over,everybody rally behind the elected president,provide recommendations and CONSTRUCTIVE criticism as to how the country should be functioning.But in Ghana it,s a different game all together.The members of the two main parties,the NPP and the NDC are always on each others troat.They openly insult each other,display their tribalistic and unpatriotic behaviours everywhere.Even on this forum they shamelessly display their illiteracy and stupidity,forgetting other nationals who visit here mock at them.What surprises me is the behaviour of those living outside the ports of Ghana,especially some of the ashantis.Oh well was it said,clean up a pig,powder a pig,it will still go back to its pig state coz that,s where it belongs.Tribalism is pulling Ghana behind more than corruption,lack of technical know-how and effects of tsunami put together.We will never learn so we will forever be envious of other prosperous African countries

What has ex-pres Kufuor done to merit a PhD?

He took the country into HIPC, and squandered the debt relief and enormous goodwill he enjoyed domestically and abroad as he did not have a proper vision for the country during his 8 years in office. He failed to address the fundamental problems facing the country and spent money on unnecessary projects like Jubilee complex and Ghana@50. Instead of building more schools and training more teachers to address the schools under trees crisis, he did not even acknowledge this scandal and rather deemed it necessary to introduce the school feeding programme. And to cap this, he awarded himself obscene ex-gratia when leaving office.

Kufuor does not deserve the award of an honorary PhD.
