Ghana is increasing in popolation at a faster rate than she can control,in terms of food suPPlies,as well as accomodation.Ofcourse,when demand outrides supply,price increase becomes innevitable.THAT IS THE PROBLEM.THE SAHEL SAVANNAH IS ALSO PUSHING US BACK.TREE PLANTING SHOULD NOT BE SOMETHING TO OVERLOOK.Farming is getting problematic,with the youth chasing jobs in the cities,therefore vacating the farm lands.GHANA HAS TO BE VERY CAREFUL,THEN BECAUSE EVERYONE HAS TO EAT FOR SURVIVAL.

Irrespective of the percentages, which is irrelevant to the common man/woman in the street, food items are now very expensive. The fact is that all food vendors have either increased their prices per plate or decreased the quantity dished out. the ordinary man is spending too much on food. The Minister should stop attacking the food security research results and tackle post harvest loses which had a direct bearing on food prices.
