If these politicians can restrain themselves with our money, we can achieve everything thru higher and quality education, and build the future today. But they can't wait to live BIG above everyone else therefore drying up the national purse with no money for libraries and educational materials and good teachers' pay.
Medium income nation does not depend on how much gold and oil you're exporting but rather the brain power that you've attained for you population.
It's funny how our leaders think few good cars on our roads with filthy gutters and couple of beautiful high-rises at the Airport area with no lights and water running thru them, and a mall only few people can really spend money at means we have arrived at MIS (middle income status).
When world bank officials tell you you gonna be reaching MIS, measure your education first before you get your dick all hardened up. MIS is no promotion it's a freaking hard work period.

I am sorry but using English as the base for your argument makes the logic flawed. If they prefer their dialects better, how about we teach them in their dialect - but do we? Obviously not, We have thrown away ours and embraced those of aliens so much so that it is illiteracy to ensue in our own dialects. Global Village, Yes! but that lot is also headed in a certain direction. Technological affluence and what not is the major concern. The issue is we need to develop such that we satisfy our terms and perhaps teach the so called developed what success really means. God bless Ghana

We have 24 hours in a day. The child spends 8 hours out of the lot in school with the teacher excluding the weekends. So the question is what is the community doing to overcome pupils inability to pass their exams? The teacher is doing his/her best but note cannot force whatever taught into the brains of the pupils. The parents seeing the benefits that will come out of the kids as a long term investment show no interest in their formal education till when it comes out they have failed then the blame is piled on the teacher.

You will be surprised that such deprived area schools do not even have LTM as chalk and they expect the teachers to be Okomfo Anokye, making miracles for the kids to pass.

THE TEACHERS MUST BE HELD RESPONSIBLE. I SEE NO REASON WE SHOULD BLAME THE GOVERNMENT ON THIS ISSUE. IS THAT SCHOOL DIFFERENT THAN OTHER SCHHOLS. IF YOU ARE A TEACHER IN THAT CATEGORY THEN YOU HAVE TO EXAMINE YOURSELF.
