The story is true but the names of the leaders as mentioned in the story were fabrications. Let us be fair to all people regardless of tribe or other considerations.
It is true the sect was a break away group from Aflao, it is also true that some of the members are ewes but the leaders and the rest of the group are Akans who settled in Aflao but had to leave because of differences with the leaders of the mother church and were joined by some ewes. Are there not forests in Volta region?
I personally meet the group when they were at Bibiani, I will try and get the names of the leaders and post it here. We are all Ghanaians, lets stop 'give the dog a bad name and hang it strategy' against other tribes.
I hope that the writer of this story had not allowed any tribal prejudice to colour his journalistic ethics. Most ewes are good. I had one of my best treatments from an ewe. Just like there bad people in every tribe/town let us not generalise the person of all ewes because of few bad ones.

The right to live is a colossus among fundamental human rights that it is entrenched in both the constitution and universal declarations. Unfortunately however, ritual murders for money inter alia, have been a chronic primitive culture among Ashantis.

In any case are you implying that we should substitute falsehood for truth just because of the fear of being labeled as tribal?. Should we allow our journalists to get away with flaws of not cross checking their fact before publishing materials likely to scandalise people? .Many people may not read it the same understanding you had?
