WE, I MEAN we all did the same thing. It might have been more for some and less for others but we all played truancy in order not to be outdone in evil doing by our peers. We all went on rampage at one time or the other during our school days, just to belong to the peer group and join the bandwagon. A number of us got the same punishment as these are getting. Let them also learn the hard way. Let us stop being hypocritical. We all did it.

The headmistress should be applauded rather than vilified and accosted by parents. However, punishment of the young should build rather than destroy their future. Madam Headmistress, good job but please reconsider. Take them back to campus and give them another punishment - real serious deterring punishment - please. If one of these were my daughters, she would ‘smelled pepper’ as my parents used to tell me when I was young

However, it is a boarding house experience and I think he is not defending the Headmistress for the disciplinary action taken. These days, students are over ambitious and have taken all discipline to the gutters. I weep for them.

How else could a seemingly talented individual, full of promise,with firm roots in the early political establishment of this country,have eveloped such a limited horizon about the world he lives in? Today,nothwithstanding the 'influence' he so much craves,he is generally seen as a mere "stooge",reduced to 'fighting' the political battles of the sworn-enemies of his own father. But, I am glad that, with the benefit of old age, he has come to terms with the choices he made during his youth,and is not laying the blame on others like most of us often do.

Education is not acquired only in the four walls of institutions. To me Kweku Baako, unassuming as he, is one of the most hardworking,bravest, and greatest minds we have in Ghana. Nobody should underestimate him.
