The decision does not help the argument for transparency in any way at all.

Supreme court proceedings are not simple and the amount of English in use alone will cut off 50% of the population who don't speak or understand English completely. that is why partisan media is spinning lies and stories around this case. A live telecast will not change anything because 90% of the population cant understand the proceedings anyway. so the situation doesn't change cos we still need media commentators and experts to explain the events of the day. so its a loose loose situation, a live telecast will still generate spin and so will a closed proceeding. the simple solution is for people like yourself to insist that media carries professional, non partisan reporting and analysis. anything else is only propaganda

More trash from kweku baako!!!!!! should the proceedings be in twi or English? or should there be twi, hausa, ewe, ga, dagbani etc etc interpreters. it is a well known fact that English is ridiculed in ashanti region especially Kumasi so how will the many npp supporters iin the region understand the proceedings when they refuse to use and understand english??? if through an interpretation then transperancy is not enhanced cos they will still need the use of someone to interpret the proceedings and this can lead to mischief. the court must carry out its duty and forget about cameras, I remember the GH@40 hearings early in Prez Mills tenure, very few people understood what was goin on, anytime I walked into a spot that had a tv with people watching and asked what was going on, the answer was always "they are talkin".

In as much as the Ewes have been mislead into committing various acts of atrocities against their fellow Ghanians mainly the Akans and therefore have become the curse of Ghana equally so have the Ashantis become the sorrow of the Akans with the likes of tribalist General Acheampong and kuffuour in their selfish greed and blatant disregard of the welfare of the rest of the non Ashanti Akans . we see the future in a confederation of 5 regions of Ghana with the fanti speaking central and western region being one entity , ashanti region another and the 3 northern regions a third and so on . these same ashanti boys were the ones who brought rawlings in 79 and 81 and today hold the country to ransom because of a conflict with the ewes about how much they could loot and steal from the rest of the nation . this conflict reflects in the perpetual antagonism of the npp and ndc denying us all the right and possibility to develope a country we can all be proud of . if the confederation doesnt work then we should all have the option of going our separate ways. today we see npp and ndc openly quarreling while the gurus continue behind the back door and under the table business as usual plundering the little that is left together with their corrupt civil service , a very sad situation indeed .

I hope some years to come, we are not going hear breaking news that documents considing the court is been stolen or there is fire outbreak in SC court building. How are Ghanaians going to known how SC judges court ask questions, lawyers from both sides made their case, how SC judges vote on issues not by close doors and how a verdict was arrived for Ghanaians to see. I believed prosperity will judge these SC judges.
