It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution...

Atsupui, I could not agree with you more. Nana Ato Dadzie used to tell me in the PNDC days that I was too young to appreciate certain issues when I disagreed with him. I gave him the benefit of the doubt then but not any longer. Mahama does not need to use witnesses from all the polling stations the petitioners are disputing. He only needs to select a few from each region, a number that is statistically significant. It's about quality and not quantity. He should not do what was done in the Ya-Na retrial when they brought wholesale and unreliable witnesses who were discredited on cross examination.
In any case, Mahama will have only a few days to prepare his witness statement and those he would call after the petitioners have served their affidavit. So if they can do it within that time, it's up to them. They should be careful because it could backfire on them.

If the guinea fowl "President" John Mahama strongly and honestly believes he genuinely won the 2012 elections, why call as many as over eight thousand witnesses to play delay tactics with the court to establish his case?
Mahama and his criminally "woyomenized" corrupt guinea fowl government should rather pray the Supreme Court to speed up the case to enable them have peace to effectively take control to fix the important national issues instead of being distracted with any court cases. But shockingly, because they know within themselves they stole to establish themselves in government, they are guilty being the losers in this matter, the notoriously lawless NDC bloody gangsters are rather shamelessly praying the communist delay tactics to keep themselves in power at all cost.
What an embarrassment of a justice system we have in Ghana. Certainly Ghana can not be Kenya as the Kenyans justice system put us in shame and international humiliation!!!

NON-PERFORMANCE AND CORRUPTION OF GHANA'S ENTIRE SUCCESSIVE LEADERSHIP HAVE BEEN HAPPENING FROM TIME IMMEMORIAL, AND EVIDENCE OF THE EFFECTS IS CRYSTAL CLEAR ON THE GROUND IN GHANA.
THAT'S WHY GHANA IS NOW A BACKWARD COUNTRY.
WHILE GHANA'S PEERS ARE FORGING AHEAD WITH THEIR SCARCE LIMITED RESOURCES, GHANA IS MOVING BACKWARDS WITH ALL THE RICH AND ABUNDANT NATURAL RESOURCES GOD HAS ENDOWED OUR NATION WITH.
GHANA IS MOVING BACKWARDS BY THE DAY PRIMARILY BECAUSE OF OUR CORRUPT LAZY FREELOADING CLUELESS SUCCESSIVE LEADERSHIP, PERIOD.
GHANA'S "LEADERS" INCREASE TAXES AND IMPORT DUTIES ARBITRARILY MAINLY TO RIP OFF ORDINARY GHANAIANS OSTENSIBLY TO GENERATE FUNDS FOR DEVELOPING THE COUNTRY, MEANWHILE ALL "DEVELOPMENT" FUNDING IS BASED ON FOREIGN LOANS AND GRANTS, WHETHER OR NOT GHANA HAS THE REPAYMENT PLAN AND CAPABILITIES IN PLACE TO MITIGATE THE EFFECTS ON OUR CHILDREN YET UNBORN.
GHANA IS THE ONLY COUNTRY WHERE TAXES AND IMPORT DUTIES ARE RAISED BY MORE THAN 30-50% AT A TIME TO FUND THE FREELOADING LIFESTYLES OF GHANA'S CLUELESS CORRUPT LAZY LEADERSHIP.
IN OTHER WORDS, GHANA'S "LEADERS" ROB PETER TO PAY PAUL.
I REMEMBER GHANA AIRWAYS OPERATIONS DURING WHICH THE ENTIRE MANAGEMENT, STAFF AND THEIR CONCUBINES TRAVELLED ON THE NATION'S AIRLINERS TO SEVERAL INTERNATIONAL DESTINATIONS AT THE NATION'S EXPENSE.
GHANA AIRWAYS IN-FLIGHT MEALS BECAME THE FOOD EATEN IN THEIR HOMES BY THE CATERING STAFF, FLIGHT ATTENDANTS AND OTHER FLIGHT CREW .
THERE WAS ONE GHANA AIRWAYS CHIEF INTERNAL AUDITOR WHOSE "OFFICIAL" TRIPS WERE ALWAYS MADE WITH HIS BEAUTIFUL "GOLD DIGGER" GIRLFRIENDS, INLUDING OF COURSE, HOTEL BILLS AT GHANA AIRWAYS EXPENSE, WHILE THE THEN CEO QUARTEY WAS BUSY PROMOTING HIMSELF, INSTEAD OF THE AIRLINE, IN GHANA AIRWAYS IN-FLIGHT MAGAZINE.
THESE, AMONGST MANY OTHERS, WERE WHY GHANA AIRWAYS AND GHANA INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES COULDN'T STAND THE TEST OF TIME, WHILE MANY OTHER COMPETITOR NATIONAL AIRLINES CONTINUE TO FORGE AHEAD WITH A FLEET OF STATE-OF-THE-ART DREAMLINERS, 747s AND MACDONNEL DOUGLASes TO THIS DAY.
WE SHALL ALL SWIM IN THE QUAGMIRE LEFT OVER BY GHANA'S USELESS SUCCESSIVE LEADERSHIP, WHILE OTHERS CONTINUE TO FORCE THEIR LEADERSHIP TO CONFORM TO INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS OF GOOD PRAGMATIC LEADERSHIP FIR THE GOOD OF ALL.

What the NDC don't seem to understand is that the NPP trapped them using the same evidence in the 2008 elections. At that time, some elders prevail upon Nana Akufo-Addo & Co. to stop filing a writ at the Supreme Court to challenge NDC's victory. That caused the NDC to take things for granted. They had been cheating in elections since 1992, so they'd become so cool with it.
And what the NDC don't understand is that there's an army of supporters from their own camp who, after seeing the difference between open and clean govt and its associated great development as exhibited by ex-Prez. Kuffour's govt and witnessed by many Ghanaians including foreigners, decided to cross carpet, by joining the NPP. These people, like Francess Essaiam, Maame Dorkono and many others brought all the NDC's secret doings and the 'info' that helped the NPP pin down NDC's wicked plot during elections. Nana Ato-Dadzie & Co. must be joking! They cannot seem to realise the depth of their exposure by the election fraud that's be put before the Supreme Court. They think its a simply joke.
The NDC should tell all Ghanaians if 241,000 foreign voters which reduced to 705 cannot affect the vote. They should go on and tell the world that 14,158,000 total votes as against 14,000,031 (a difference of 157,969) will not affect the outcome of the vote as declared by Kwadjo Afari Gyan.
Massaging of ballot from voting centres around the country, during elections count en-route EC's headquaters did not affect the results. We're talking about additions and subtractions here. This just common sense; I'm not in anyway trying to be part or the Supreme Court Justices.
Folk would recount that when the Supreme Court after sifting through some of the evidence presented by boths sides, asked the both petetioners and respondents to agree on the point that the Court should hear and report back in one week, the NDC disagreed to allow the NPP to present damaging evidence?
That's why the August House is asking tthat the matter should be cut to simple facts: whether or not there was cheating and if it happened, did it affect the election and it's results? Well, my summary is that election fraud is a serious case and it does not matter who'se the culprit, justice must be served. Period!
I believe that Nana Ato-Dadzi and his NDC lawyers do well to all Ghanaians why they decided to scuttle the December elections. If election fraud is acceptable, why would we invest $100 million in the EC to conduct our polls?
