Dear Rev., the word of God also says, “how would they hear the word, if it is not preached, how would the word be preached if ministers are not sent, how would they be sent if not taught”, and to my addition, how would they be trained in there are no volunteers? The message here requires an action. Even God Himself doesn’t solve problems without an action. God made His promise thousands of years before until that faithful day of reality when His Son was sent to fulfill His obligations. Meaning miracles even takes on a medium to act. There was the water there first before it got turned to wine, there was already fish and bread before it got multiplied.
Lets dream of miracles, I will say that’s the lazy expectations to change the current cause of such a destructive action, leave it for too long and it would be history taking the whole nation into its gloomy rot. Many nations watched as Hitler went on his war campaign path, until the Brits stepped in with actions and propaganda to win the allies to their side and only then with powerful allies was the war won to emancipate those on the sub-Sahara regions the commencement of the freedom of colonialism. God acted physically again.
I look at Ghanaians, one, they are a lazy race so lazy they don’t even want to chew their food for all the efforts it would take, so swallow. They wait for manner to fall from the sky but still not enough but for another miracle for the manner to reach their tummy without collecting and preparing them to eat. All our problems await for a foreigner to solve and in the process of pretending to be solving them only to worsen and join in with our crooks to steal whatever is left. We are greedy, selfish, show-offs and with the least care for others let alone the nation. We got even worst since independence, we are now very trabalistic people and thanks to JJ for that who fueled all this tribal hatred propaganda political campaigns. Nkrumah, Busia, Afrifa, Acheampong, Akufu and Dr Liman, none of these leaders went on a tribal hate campaign to steal from the coffers as you have all done. You can steal the people’s money, you can steal their gold and oil, but don’t steal their heart from one another, for with it they can one day gather and unite to build his nation up for their grand, grand children.

The real solution to our problems would hard work, dedication and building strong institutions to check corruption that had badly eaten into the body fabric of both our politicians and civil servants. It is because of some of these cheap talks that the framers of the American constitution infused in their first amendment, the of the State from the church. I always doff my hat off for the Jehovah Witnesses for taking a bold stance of not meddling with politics in anyway. How can God fix your problems for you when have no intentions of helping yourself? The people must be well informed(educated} and be able to demand accountability from their leaders. The philosophy where they only commend the owner of a beautiful house but do not ask how he/she found the money must stop. Dishonesty, hatred, tribalism, dirty politics, etc are all attributes of poor education or lack of it so this country is still in the dark and cannot develop.

There is no where in the Bible where laziness and corruption is tolerated in exchange for prayers.

Sad a man of God instead of entreating Ghanaians to walk the path of Jesus and talk about salvation and deliverance has become a political figure telling Ghanaians God will fix our broken economy through prayers.

It is said that God help those who help themselves and even God through the book of Thessalonians advocated for people to work to earn a living. Reverend Asante should preach about salvation and deliverance and leave what is Ceasar for Ceasar. I think you are equally guilty of the muddle thinking that a god exists that can even fix an economy with your ambiguous claim above! The religious charlatan was simply playing on the already distorted and messed up superstitious mentality of Ghanaians; just as Mills before and now Mahama. So per your claim above, a god exists that can fix an economy except that he wouldn't do it even if people are starving to death en mass 'cos that god wants them to work for a living! I'd be damn if such a god exists! What if all their crops have been destroyed by bad weather: drought, locusts, floods, or human agency as during wars, as often is the case on this earth, esp. in Africa??? What sort of god can allow such untold human suffering without intervening, cos he has given free will to human kind to work? What about the animals which also die in thousands or even millions under similar circumstances?

My friend, let it be known that no such god exists which fixes economies anywhere on earth! It is just the sort of twaddle the so-called [mis]educated elite have reduced Ghanaians too. It is the sort of esoteric nonsense that comes from people whose cosmogony and cosmology are still primitive and backward!

Period! There is not so much we can do about it unless we are capable of sending all these superstitious people into re-education camps to wean them off their superstition. As that won't happen, as the Cultural Theory of Devt posits, we have to wait for them to die off and be replaced by a new generation which has not be weaned on this twaddle but on rational and scientific mode of thought! That must start now, as even the present generation have imbibed the twaddle.

I am a staunch Methodist who strongly believe that what this our Rev. Asante is contributing should be considered as simply trite!!

Having said that, I believe in GOD but NOT god which puts me in the same consonance as that of SARPONG. In that we should use our intellectual barometer to solve both Economic and Human problems.

To this end, I NEVER heard Rev. Asante condemning the NDC Government for dolling our GHS51MILLION to CROOK WOYOME and presently $33MILLION for planting Trees in the North which is a BULLSHIT!!

When I give my offerings to the Methodist Church, I do so because of some Institutions they have set up such as Schools and Hospitals which support the people, NOT the colour of the Cossack this opportunist wants us to believe.

If GOD fixes Economies, ROME wouldn't ask for an European Bailout. Shit HOT!!

This is absolute rubbish. It is this trust we put in God rather than ourselves that has made us to be marking time when we should be marching in development.
If God fixes economic problems then there would not be any country with economic problems in the world for it would be a matter of kneeling and asking God to provide solutions. Let us be real. Nobody can prove the existence of God and all his/her attributes. But if God exists and all his attributes are correct, then that God is a democratic God and being democratic has given us the freedom to conquer our environment for our progress. And this accounts for the success or failures of a nation or an individuals.
We know that in the advanced countries they do not play God, at least at governance level. They use their minds to find solutions to their problems. We must do same and stop playing God. It is a shame and if God exists would even laugh at the pastor and consider him a failure.

Being a christian(born again)is a personal relationship between the individual and the Lord. It wouldn't be remiss of you to get on your knees and reconnect with The Lord. The clergy can only propagate the gospel and encourage fellowship and oneness with the spirit through the many avenues used in the church i.e. prayer fellowships and bible classes etc. The church is not for saints but for all who seek redemption and hope. The human input in the fixing of a frail economy are the politicians we elect to do the job, the other, is the Lord's help in achieving our goals. The two are mutually intertwined.

How can NDC be allowed to rig elections at all times? Election fraud is a serious matter; it's also criminal, and must not tolerated; we must say NO to cheating and corruption, which is destroying our nation. Trying to cover-up things won't lead us anywhere. It's time to rise up as a nation and demand what is noble and what is right!

Let's call a spade and an axe by their proper names and stop trying to sweep the filth under the carpet. It is clearly evident that the NDC and the EC teamed up to deceive Ghanaians. But all these qualities are lacking in the brand of people in authority in Ghana today. II Chronicles 7:14 makes it explict: "If my people who are called by my name will HUMBLE themselves and PRAY SEEK MY FACE and turn from their WICKED WAYS,then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land". We in Ghana live in a country where LIES is always the order of the day. DISRESPECT is in abundance in many of these NDC appointess. Some of them talk as if they are immortal beings; speaking to the elder statemen and other respectful people in the nation with disrespect just because they are in authority. Refusing to accept guilt and apologizing even when they themselves raealizes that they are telling LIES. Ministers and deputies are put in positions which they do not neither deserves nor qualifies, the end result is what we are facing today, no water, electricity, gas, aviation gas,fire everywhere, car accidents etc on daily basis. Nothing seems to be working right in this country of thes days despite the abundance of resources like cocoa, gold, diamond, oil, manganeze, timber, etc. It takes more than what we are seeing in our country today for God to hear from us in heaven and heal our land. With all what is going on, I doubt whether God will fix our frail economy, except these people apologize not only to God but to the whole nation about their failure. Time will tell.

I am going to highlight few misdeeds created by Nkrumah as a consequencial result of our predicament today. Firstly, he hastened us into independence and drvove away the Europeans who were better and not as corrupt as the typical Ghanaians. Remember the achievements of Governor Guggisberg. Also, take a trip to Ivory Coast and see what the French did for the country because of their assimilation policy. I don't think you have been to South Africa before, otherwise you will agree with me that apartheid was a blessing in disguise. I taught high school in the former homeland of Transkei from 1982-1988. Nana, I can easily tell you that Transkei was more developed than the so called independent countries such as Ghana, Nigeria etc, etc. Nkrumah started his administration with corrupt and mediocre educated individuals. Do you still remember his quotation, 'Seek ye first....' .He bribed the chiefs in VR with bicycles to vote yes for the plebiscite and brought to Ghana a group of people who are not so patriotic like Ewes.I got this hint from my great political science professor, Kweku Folson when I was his student. Do not hate Woyome. Nkrumah was a show boy as his ambitious projects depleted our coffers. It was not fair for him to give free education to only the Northners. Every region had more children to be educated and not only the Northners. I attended Apam Secondary School eventhough I am an Ashanti and so I know what I am talking about. Secondly, Nkrumah was very selfish in many ways by propagating an ideology to benefit him alone. He wanted to be like God the Almighty. Nkrumah never dies. The ideological institute at Winneba was better equipped than Legon. Students were highly paid. He bestowed gifts and money to his supporters especially, the African leaders who were in consonance with his ambtious schemes--Guinea, Mali etc. But Nkrumah was hated by the rest of the leaders. It is unfortunate he did not live to witness the demise of communism in our life time. He started this ugly tribal grouping we are going through now. There is more to say but due to lack of time, I will end here. I am writing this because I respect you a lot since like you, I also think that Nana Akuffo Addo is the only Ghanaian leader who can lead us to Caanan. He is the first A frican leader ever to tell the whole world that he is not corrupt.
