In the past few years doctors' strike have been largely coloured in NPP colours but this time I think the problem is with the SINFUL GHC7,200 THAT IS PAID TO MPS every month. For me, the threats to strike have just begun and to stop all of them our MPs must come out boldly to renounce their salaries and propose a reduction. Sincerely, without such an action I don't see the end of the on-going strikes and up-coming ones.

What did they promise last February, and when do they intend to do something to convince the Doctors that FWSC can be trusted?
The only truth behind FWSC actions is that they expect "flexibility" from the Doctors at every meeting. Flexibility to accept what FWSC promises. And when those promises are not kept, there should be another meeting, with more flexibilty ...
Even the NLC (labour Commission) is gradually fed-up with the FWSC tactics

If not political motivation, selfishness and parochial interests driving these 'KILL-LIFE' Doctors (just like they did to the recent conjoined twins with flimsy excuse), how on earth would people who claim to be educated and call themselves professionals just want to see their country; one that contributed immensely towards their well being with the money of those they intend killing in the name of striking, come to a halt to breed insecurity and confusion?
These Doctors need to be taught Nationalism and Patriotism as a course of study during the cause of their training and refresher training on the same organized for them from time to time, for they are seriously lacking what completes their training.
Their behavior and that of other professional groups is becoming a total display of gross ignorance. Are they telling us that the order of the day is; everybody is going on strike so let's also go?
While their counterparts in other countries are feverishly researching day and night and brainstorming to come out with pragmatic way of saving lives and solving problems bedeviling their own profession, their nations and that of the world, they are meeting and wasting productive time on how to kill and waste precious lives adding to the country's problems.
What have they done as a professional body to become financially independent to help their members and nation?
Is it striking from time to time? Please do some efficient brainwork and not some ill-politically motivated lazy work that washes your already sunk credibility!
Very soon the people of Ghana would be immune to strikes as they would be fed up with workers including them and that go to toughen the government they have been financially toughened to bring down.
My advice to them is, WHY BUY AND EMBRACE IGNORANCE AT AN EXPENSIVE PRICE WHEN WISDOM IS FREE AND READILY AVAILABLE?

Why does the the government not protect the tax payer? It is the poor tax payer who maintains all Ghana universities; it is the poor tax payer who sponsors all university students who graduate as Graduate Teachers; Nurses; Polytechnic Diploma holders; Doctors; Pharmacists; Medical Technologists; Specialist Teachers; etc. etc. etc.
In my country, all these professionals who have been trained with the sweat of the tax payer do not on strike. They know what they owe to the tax payers and the country; and that laying down their tools for selfish demands is a shame and unprofessionalism.
It is realy, really, a shame for Medical professional to lay down their tools. Do they really know why they are called doctors? Do they know why the tax payers sacrificed their hard-earned cedis to train them? How many doctors would have become doctors if they were to pay for their training fully? How many so-called Graduate Teachers would have graduated if the tax payers refused to pay tax?
Do these people think of how the various parts of the human body co-ordinate with other? If the left hand decides to go on strike and refuse to help the right hand during bath-taking, how a human being be described? Instead of saying the hand has gone on strike, we shall say has troke. Is the stroke a pleasant thing to experience?
Let one eye of a doctor go on strike; or let his nostrils go on strike (and block); or let his go on strike (he will be deaf); what if his tongue goes on strike?
It is a pity. Knowledge and good professions have been handed to irresponsible, wicked and non-God-fearing humans. All of them are misusing their expertise - instead of healing, they killing; instead of disseminating knowledge, they are depriving even the very little they knoow; instead guiding, they misguiding.
Wow! Pearls in the custody of pigs!!

With Asante doctors in charge we can expect this type of sabotage.
In the past few years doctors' strike have been largely coloured in NPP colours but this time I think the problem is with the SINFUL GHC7,200 THAT IS PAID TO MPS every month. For me, the threats to strike have just begun and ...

John D. Mahama need to check the Fair Wages and Salary Commission and let the Doctors have their peace at work and stop waisting money on Gunie Fowels. We need the Doctors and Nurses. Nurses should also been taken care.
The doctors must stop hiding behind politics and save people's lifes. We also need guinea fowls to eat in order to stay strong and healthy.
If the doctors, university teachers, pharmacists, GNAT, NAGRAT, TEWU, Civil servants, etc. are all NPP, how did NDC come to power? Even the executive and parliament have been paid fat salaries. What do they do?
