Mr Minister, Our national resources should benefit Ghanaians. If not it shuold be left untaped. When the Knowhow is not there, technical Expertise and Manpower should be trained to manage the Resources. In the first and second Republic laws were made to put the Economy in the hands of Ghanaians but now because of personal interest we get only 13% on Oil, Foreigners do Galamsey and Ghanaians have become slaves in their own country.

Please treat the situation as urgent and address it. Lamenting by a Minister is not what is expected. The Chamber of minies is an institution working to deprive Ghanaians of just and fair revenue from mining and then to mislead with false figures. They visited the Minister to make sure he doesn't do anything to benefit Ghanaians at the expense of the foreign miners and their destruction of the environment.

The minister's call here is not enough. We need concrete executable actions to stop the nonsense in the mining sctor.

They are the cause of the high influx of these illegal Chinese miner in Ghana because they are part of the illegal mining themselves. Why am I saying this is a real example that happened in kumasi airport. A Chinese fly from KIA to Kumasi airport and an immigration officer in Kumasi asked the Chinese for his passport and he (the Chinese) pulled his phone from his pocket and told the immigration officer in Kumasi that he is calling somebody who has his passport and will let the officer talk to him.
Guess who he was calling. The head of the Ghana immigration service. When the call went through, and the Chinese spoke briefly to the head of the immigration service, the Chinese gave the phone to the Kumasi immigration officer and there was his bosss's boss siding with the Chinese. The head of Ghana immigration service on the phone asked the Kumasi immigration officer where did the Chinese first landed in the country from China? Is it Kumasi airport or is it KIA? The answer was KIA sir. Then why are you asking him (the Chinese)for his passport if he does not have one how can he come to Ghana. An extremely strange question for somebody he call himself the head of the Ghana immigration services. Where are we heading to.
What about if the Chinese visa have expired? Who is the best person to identify that? Is it me, you or the immigration officers? It will interest you to know that, if you go to China, anything you need to do, you need your passport and a valid visa. Without that, forget!
To make this happen, we as a country need to also insist on the use of passport for any form of transaction in Ghana for foreigners. At the bank, bus station, airport

GHANAIAN EMBASSIES OVERSEAS ARE PART OF THIS PROBLEM WITH THEIR CORRUPT WAYS AND THEY ARE PARTLY TO BE BLAME AS WELL. THE SOURCES OF THESE NATIONALS OBTAINING VISA MUST BE SORT OUT BY GHANAIAN GOVERNMENT. AM SURE THERE IS A NUMBER OF ILLEGALS IN GHANA DOING A LOT OF CRIMINALS ACTIVITIES WHICH WILL EVENTUALLY WARDOFF TOURIST VISITING THIS COUNTRY. THE IMMIGRATION, POLICE AND THE MILITARY , MINISTRY OF INTERIOR, ALL SECURITY AGENCIES SHOULD HAVE BETTER ICT COMMUNICATION AS WELL AS BIOMETRICALLY ID’S OR DOCUMENT THESE ARRIVALS TO GHANAIAN DATABASE TO ENABLE EASILY APPREND THESE ILLEGALS IF VISA IS NOT RENEW.

The main question is are there any Ghanaians in China involving themselves with Galamsey? It is IMPOSSIBLE. We allow Chinese to come to Ghana and even attempt to shoot our citizens, while they are so strict on Ghanaians in China even in terms of mere transactions such as Banking. In China you can exchange more than an amount of 500 USD per day per Bank, so many foreign policies and rules and they are very wicked. In fact ALL of them should be treated with strict rules and immediately deported for activities such as Galamsey. They are very wicked! It will get to a point taht Chinese will ask for passport before you can go to your own washroom.
