May be they think Ghanaians have a short memory and have already forgotten the daylight robbery they committed when they were in power. Think of the cost of all these stupid MPs - their salaries, per diems, rent allowances, bribes and kickbacks. That was one expenditure the country didn't incur in the dictatorship of Rawlings. The country desperately needs genuine democratic revolution; we need someone to come to sweep away the corruption, self-interestedness and arrogance that has infected every fibre of our national government. I think we politicise everything and this make us lose the sense in arguments. There is no political party that is bigger than Ghana and as a matter of fact all parties must seek the true progress and development of the nation. Again no one party has all the solutions to the nations problem hence there is the need to listen and give thought to other people's views.

The US has more than a Trillion dollar economy, by your logic how many ministers should they have? The same goes for Japan and China. In fact, China has a billion people, the same population as the whole of Africa. How many ministers are there? You people are stupid and deserve the government you have. A land cruiser is $80,000 (i.e. $60,000 less than what Apraku says) so it is justified. You are moron indeed. Multiply $80,000 by 85 prople, add the money spent on the special assistants at the presidency, times the 40gallons of fuel a week that every minister gets times the per diem they get for attending meetings times the salaries of their drivers, bodyguards and cooks. If you justify such expenditures in a country where kids are studying under trees, pregnant women die for lack of health care and people die for lack of water and electricity, then you are a moron. 40% of our budget is donor funded and is this how we behave? Go to Rwanda and see the progress they have made post-genocide and you will marvel. Go to Botswana, a country whose main exports are diamonds and cattle and will will be awestruck. People there are sensible. Not like Ghanaians who are stupid and justify anything for political reasons. This country makes me sick.
