You are absolutely right. There should be rural development plocies as well as urban development policies. There should be government institutions/jobs in the rural areas to keep the rural dwellers in their home towns. Rural dwellers are traditionally substance farmers but they are losing their farm lands for housing/residential development so If the government can create jobs to substitute the lost of their farms. I think they wouldn't migrate to hassle in the cities. This is a simple stategy the government should know.

Not only streets, every plot of land or house/building must be numbered to serve as addresses. The old P.O Box system must be slowly discarded or limited. It is very difficult when filling a form outside Ghana and you need an address in Ghana to complete the form. Very difficult. I wonder if one can use GPS systems in Ghana.

Look at what the President is wasting time on. This exercise should be even announce by the metropolitant executives. I would like to see the president tackling agriculture, building more silos or repair what Dr Kwame Nkrumah built to store food through proper mechanize farming. The health national insurance strengthened properly. This silly silly strikes caused by negligence of heads of state institutions and fair wages commission etc. Just go over all the industries Dr Kwame Nkrumah established strenthen them and not naming of streets. Is naming of streets going to bring food to ghanains or reduce or increase salaries?

Mr. President, Ghanaians have crossed the line! You and NDC may still be in the old days when radio and TV broadcast by president/coup leaders/head's of state's etc impacted the reasonng of Ghanaians. That is a problem you have to deal with.
You cannot pay teachers, nurses, pharmacist, hospitals for services provided and you go around announcing projects that are backed by nothing. What do you take Ghanaians for when you mount the podium and make these promises? Do you talk to your minister of finance before speaking?
Ghanaians have no water, electricity is being switched off and as for the budget deficit I will leave that to the economist.
Our development partners are not impressed with the direction of the country, just like the ordinary Ghanaian is not impressed.
Fuel prices have gone up since you and Mills came to office.
With all these mounting problems all John mahama can do is wakeup each day and announce policies or projects that have no chanece of funding. Talk about the Ghana city or guinea fowl projects ---what is going on?
You were in office with Mills for 4 years and the country has gotten worse not better under your watch. So where are you going with these infantile promises?

Yes, Mr president this is what president Nkrumah did and made a difference interms of development. Do not fear anybody , the system has mandated you to do what will be good for the nation.
Point of interest, do not be like Kufour and Atta Mills who took away powers from the mayors of Accra [ Adjiri Blankson and Okoe Vanderpuiye] because they fear the population that voted them, at the same time they forgot that the very population who voted them into power needed their bold leadership and direction.
President Mahama, you are intelligent, but kindly add boldness to it and it will work in your favour since you surely will impliment the the senior high school free education policy in your third year in office.
Support the mayor Vanderpuiye whom I have known to be a very serious man who sticks to his words, in my own words If these mayors are not supported by the govt in power to go ahead with the implimentation of the bye laws, it will reach a time that it will surely be like Nigeria with uncontrolable traffic jams[ go slow],sanitation in trouble, people building at areas meant for roads etc and all of us will face that inconvenience in our urban centres.
Mr president, the real wise, knowledgeable, intelligent, understandable, pro development minded people of Ghana will always be with you in this area of direction. What is good is always good even if it comes from ones enemy. Bravo!!!

pepeni even though we all know sooner or later you will be stripped of the presidency at least you could have done far better than this . apart from the krobo man terkper and your AG all your appointments are far below the average and lack any intellectual capacity to be statesmen or real performers , we understand why atta mills made the compromises as his main focus was on national unity and a balanced representation of all tribes and sectors of society . his hope was that a unified Ghana would generate enough energy to push the country easier toward development , but he failed as most were corrupt , selfish and lacked any integrity , we see you have dropped most of the toxic-ally corrupt but taking all these ashao women and people who have no idea what it means to serve the nation is another step backward. ndc as a party must have better than this especially since you claim to have at least 4 million supporters . reshuffle these idiots out or you will end up in even greater shame.

John have you ever stayed in your home town. Talking no sense, which of these urban has light and drinking water, how many house are there. Why not tell ghanaians you want to steal some of the money by giving trees and grasses. Accra dont have lot of people, you have poor planning that is why you see it that way. Move the government offices from accra and you will see accra.
Why should the president live in accra? Why should the supreme court be in acca. Why should we have a military barracks in accra.
John Mahama is not a president. Who are those advicing john mahama, they should be ashame of themselvies.
Economy is suffering and everybody is move close to the offices, can John mahama see.
