When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

Pls stop insulting the integrity of the writer for he has said noting wrong neither is he blaming the president for noting. The writer stated in his article that section 102 of the labour law advised or instructed about the joint standing negotiation committee. What he meant is that Government should have invited all the various union groups through the joint standing negotiation committee to avoid any further agitations from the other union groups. The presidents decision to meet only one of the union group is liking to a father who's ten children with same demands are threatening law suit. The father did not bother to negotiate, only to give in to negotiations when one of them sued.Dont you think the remaining nine will follow suit.

Ghana will continue to have problems. Mahama is running the country down, his intentions are not there to help the country but to rob it. Wake up Ghanaians, you can't continue to live in animal farms.

There are times i get the feeling that the so called experts in this country are to some extent responsible for the problems we face in this country. What did the president do wrong when he met the leadership of the striking teachers. Every good father would do same if he found two of his beloved children in a tango. He will bring them together, ask what the matter is and tell them to resolve the issue at stake amicably. I do not think that by his actions, the president took sides in the matter.Strikes have been with us since creation.President, keep meeting every striking groups as a way of helping to heal this age old cancer.

It is about time the central government weaned itself of all these institutions. All these institutions have to be independent of government, so that their performance will always determine and merit what they get for salary. So in other words it is pay per performance system as it is in major developed and developing nations. Every individual input will dictate that person's earnings. Period.

Since the beginning of the year, has there ever been a compelling reason for all these industrial action and sometimes unrest? Most reasons the unions cite are dud, it is petty. I don't mind if people strike for reasons that the executive and the legislature just had their pound of flesh but to strike because of delays in back pay for several month or cold-feet implementation of agree salary structure is just not on because it's it's extreme. At worst, partial withdrawal of services should be the option

The fact that he has intervened in this strike does not mean he will intervene in every strike.
As a labour consultant, please come up with practical ways of resolving labour disputes and preventing strikes, which have such a debilitating effect on our economy and society.

In as much as I accept the fact that any body can express his or her views on any national issues, I can not agree with Mr Senyo Adjaben that because the presidency intervened in the labor dispute between the Teachers Unions and the government, other unions who have salary and conditions of service issues to be addressed will necessary have to embark on strike. Mr Senyo's argument is very naive and smacks unpatriotic. Indeed it's time Ghanaian demanded accountability from all who depend on the tax payer for a living. It has become a practice of late for workers to go on strike at the least delay in the negotiation of their conditions of service. What we have forgotten is the corresponding productivity which is seriously lacking and therefore affecting growth and development of the economy and national development. Ghanaians need to understand that we have to work hard to make for whatever we demand.
