It is a shame to be searching outside Ghana for a coach whereas we have many stars here such as Abedi, Esien, Stephen Appiah, Polo etc. Why can't any of them be trained as a coach to manage the team? They have the love of the country at heart and they will even do it for less money, that is what Nkrumah did with C.K.Gyamfi, the most successful coach in our history.

I have never heard even the best soccer players in the world holding their countries to ransom with such nonsense and the Ayews, I pray to God to stay retired and will see that, Blackstars willnot fold up. It is with profound regret that I write to communicate to you my decision to withdraw my services for the national team temporarily.

My decision to withdraw my services from the national team results from a number of issues or matters that have occurred quite recently, especially with regard to my relationship with the management team of the senior national team, the Black Stars. These matters have so affected me emotionally and psychologically¬ such that I am unable presently to offer the best of my services to my dear nation.

In the meantime I take this opportunity to congratulate my colleagues in the national team for their performance in the just ended AFCON competition. Although we did not win the cup I take the view that their performance is commendable since the team maintained the same standard of performance by way of position whereas others like the Zambian national team bowed out in the preliminary stages of the competition.

I assure my colleagues in the national team and my fans that my decision is only to enable me pull myself together and motivate myself (in the circumstances in which I currently find myself) in order that I would return with a renewed fervor to assist my colleagues carry the cause of the national team to higher levels. My decision is not novel. Some of my colleagues who have previously taken such decisions have returned more strongly and with vigour to serve the nation.

Finally, I hereby affirm my avowed love, devotion and commitment to my beloved country the Republic of Ghana whose national teams I have pledged to always faithfully and dutifully serve to the best of my ability.

Accra, Mar. 10, GNA - Jordan Ayew inists he will not be available for selection when the Black Stars assemble at the Garden City for a crucial World Cup qualifier with Sudan next weekend.
Ayew, who called time on his playing time with the Black Stars late last month has played himself out of the squad despite the Ghana Football Association (GFA) ordering otherwise.
GNA Sports can confirm that the player will be willing to present himself for selection after the Sudan game which Ghana must win to breath a measure of life into the World Cup campaign.
In a one page letter to the GFA in response to the player's quest for a temporary break, Jordan said 'I appreciate your swift reaction to my letter and the suggestion implied in your letter that I am still relevant for the Black Stars assignment.
‘I will therefore definitely and certainly make myself available for future Black Stars assignment, but not immediately.'
The player who failed to make the cut in the 25-man provisional squad for the 2013 African Cup of Nations in South Africa where the Stars returned home empty handed insisted his decision to take time off was only temporary.
'My decision to withdraw my services for the senior national team is only temporary. I accept your recommendation to me to reconsider my decision and make myself available for future Black Stars assignment.'
He described the GFA's response as being consistent with the subject matter oh his earlier decision for a breather.

My position is that, no Player should be allowed to retire temporary and come back on a ridiculous excuse. That does not mean at times a Player might have to take a time off to clear his head like Gyan who missed two crucial penalties and soccer fans threatened him and his family. I can understand him taking time off but tell me what the Ayew brothers ecuses are. Read the first quote below from Dede why he wanted to take time off. He was 'pissed' with management so he wants to take time off. What did management do to him? They did not allow him to dictate his terms when he wants to report to camp or because his brother was not selected to the team? Is that a good excuse to retire temporary? This is indiscipline that should not be allowed to manifest amongst the Blackstars Players. Nobody can force them to play if they don't want to at the same time, we should not allow them to bring disunity into the team with their bad attitudes.

Now, who is Jordan to tell the Coach he will not play in the Sudan game but will be available after thaqt/ Was it not the same Jordan that said he will only make himself available to the team if he is guaranteed a permanent place in the team? This is a striker for Blackstars who has played in at least five matches for the team and has failed to score or impress anybody with his abilities. If his name was not Ayew, nobody would have even be talking about him.

We all work for a living and I know we cannot go to our employers and say they have done something we don't like so we are retiring temporary and when we feel better, will come back to work, it doesn't happen. Let them retire and go and enjoy themselves.

LET ME REPEAT IT FOR YOU, MAYBE YOU DID NOT GET IT THE FIRST TIME. NO PLAYER IN GHANA SHOULD BE BEGGED TO PLAY FOR BLACKSTARS EVEN IF THAT PLAYER HAPPENS TO BE THE BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD, YOU GOT IT?

Argentina during the 2010 had the best team in my estimation, even if not the best in terms of Players assembled, at least second to only Spain but failed to even get out of the group stages with Messi, Tevez, Jose Maria and others because of bad attitude.

Players willing to die for the country with limited abilities can conquer players with great skills who lack discipline. Compare the Ivory Coast team of 2012 AFCON and tell me why they should lose to Zambia.

Professional footballers have to think about their statements before they are published though some non professional may not understand the reasons why football stars stay out of their national team for a while. Sometimes it seems annoying but we should try to do away with that and those players return to the Black Stars when they have a good will to return, r Boateng and Ayews may never be the last to be in such situations.

Calm down my fellow Ghanaians. I know in recent past as Ghanaians we have gotten some issues with some of our Black Star players. But I want to remind Ghanaians to look back into the history of world football and you will find out that many talented players at a point in time gave their country some sort of troubles. And yet when given the needed opportunity to feature for their nation in football they gave out their best and in some cases they single handedly decided success for their nations. So let have patience for both Boateng and Dede. May the good lord help us to get more cups.
