This is long overdue but at least a good step ahead. Minister, make sure a third of this load doesn't renovate your pocket.

Sankofa (throw it away and pick it up later) is wasting Ghana's time and money. In the first place, why were the sugar plantation and the factory ever sold, at all? Before the sale some years ago the factory was rehabilitated. Is the government doing the same this time around? I can suspect it will not be long utilising it after it has been revamped, when some economists will appear from the IMF and other foreign agents to advise the government to privatise the factory, just for the buyer to jettison it in the near future, with the consequential loss to the nation in terms of employment and money as happened to Nkrumah's other establishments of which Komenda sugar plantation and factory were among them.
