I sincerely agree that the problem of corruption is the responsibility of the government. We believe that without rampant corruption, Ghanaians would not be asked to pay more tariffs on basic utilities all the time. We now know there was pervasive corruption that led to increment of the petroleum products, we are now getting to know why there are shortages of water supply and the possibility of price increment and we shall soon know about all the corruption in the electricity company which is also for tariffs to be increased.
The problem we have is that any time they deplete the coffers of the company and basic service are not provided for lack of funds, the government rushes to increase the price of the utility without tackling the problems, thereby rewarding the criminals and not tackling the problem from its source. We can't go on like this.

Nii Tagoe, your ideal of blaming the president rather than the GWLC director is rather astonishing to say the least. No wander your principle of problem solving is not helping Ghana to advance. People are place at various post/positions to deliver services for the community but sadly, most are simply incapable of discharging any satisfactory service. Ghanaians must learn to challenge and take on the sources of reference i.e the main source of our problems. The director, police officer, cleaner assemblyman, MP, administrator, revenue collector, principal officer, manager, supervisor, etc and all those given the responsibility to discharge duty to the nation. Blaming the president is rather a myopic and an easy cop- up by citizens. And so when the director has not performed satisfactorily and failed to deliver then he must face the consequences and must be sacked and a better person must take over. There is too much politics in the system. Job for the boys, square pegs in round holes, tribalism and nepotism are detriments to our progress and development. Failures must be made to know that they are incompetent dragging Ghana backwards. Being they are parents, brothers, nephews and nieces, friends or foes, party comrades or patriots must be made aware of their lack of performance and under-achievements. We should take our beef with these service providers and not just blaming the president. You and I have a duty as citizens to raise our objections to poor and under-par services.

recruitment should take place based on serious background checks and due diligence.

Yes, i support a deeper more investigation.I suspect that those chemicals were recycled ,re-invoiced by the supplier with the connivance of corrupt officials at the company. The supplier never imported them, they are old procured stuff, in fact over procurement too is another direction of investigation.if so they should show us the documents and lets check from India as where most of these chemicals are normally imported.Because people are never punished so there is no deterrent for people to desist from crime,LETS SEE HOW THIS ONE WOULD END.The way it would end would determine how others would be encouraged or discouraged from crime.

Pepeni has killed Ghana not only his former boss mills, slowly more and more people including sekou realize a radical solution draws closer . instead of sending hannah tetteh to flirt around with more toxic international organizations to further worsen the situation he should turn to the true partners of the nation , the people and task everyone to try and produce surplus . 25 million people at just a dollar a day makes all the difference instead of being strung along by chinese , catholic church , koreans, european union or whoever in sheep's clothing appears . the govt should ensure their efforts dont go to waste like we see every year farmers crying because they have to throw away their surplus . work on the unity of the nation like mills did instead of copying kuffuor's/ gen. acheampong's style and bringing in only his idiotic herdsmen who have no idea about anything talk less of inspiring the people. study how hitler in less than 7 years turned germany from the laughing stock of europe and the "made in germany" sign of non quality trash goods into the superpower of the continent which it remains till today despite the hate propaganda. self reliance is the key and determination to never surrender. our people mobilized the continent in the fight against colonialism and now its time to mobilize again for a better economic tomorrow for our children even if we die in the process . we are not afraid are you?
