NPP has a better developmental agenda than the NDC and could have won this election with ease. Yet they lost cos they populated the party leadership with fools, arrogant idiots, and hardened tribalist who are still to understand that the essence of winning in a democracy is all about numbers irrespective of where the votes were coming from.

Instead of the party leadership going around and selling the ideas to the populace they rather choose to sit in the comfort of Accra and Kumasi, jump from one radio station to another yelling and shouting. Those in the print media also never took the opportunity to sell the ideas of the NPP, they rather choose to resort TRIBALISM.

NPP needs to reshuffle the party leadership with tolerant and visionary ppl. Get rid of Ken Agyepon's and Ahoofe Akoampa's caliber, such ppl are too much abound in the NPP and they repulse a lot of independent minded ppl.

See the foolsiness of such ppl has now caused the defeat of the NPP and we all have to pay a hefty price. I hope the party leadership will do their home work well and come back to rescue the nation from clueless NDC idiots.

When the Akosombo dam was built it was only few regions in the country were enjoying the power. Now all the country is hook to it so allow the govt to build the Buipe dam. Power will be ok some few months to come.

Those who came after him were disappointments till Rawlings came.Though we may not like the manner he took power, he brought back awareness. He woke us up to be able to speak up.The present strong democratic atmosphere is one of the benefit of the revolution.May all who shed their blood, and those(the innocent) whose blood was shed, rest in the perfect arms of the Lord.Amen.
Like Biblical David's men, Rawlings drew support from the low and deprived of society.

Nkrumah did those things you mention3ed because the Colonialists left him more than 300 million pounds in 1957 for 6 million Ghanaians which would be more than 20 billion dollars in modern money and anybody could have done what he did with that money.

Nkrumah could not even manage that money that well using some of the money by embarking on his desire to be the President of Africa by giving some of the money away like 10 million pounds to Guinea and other African countries thereby running out of cash for our development.

Nkrumah built some factories at the wrong places without thinking about how he was going toutilize these factories with raw materials that we did not have. Please, give me a break.

We have no clear sense of direction, every single day you listen to the news, it's all doom and gloom. No policies to give us hope, no issue is resolved to a successful conclusion. As the sating goes, You can only blame your parents for your failure for so long but there comes a point in time where you need to start taking responsibility for the decisions you make in your adult life and stop blaming your past.

However, I wish to stress that it is not the fault ot the present Govt which was elected a few months ago. The situation as you see today has been there since the 1970s. I remember very vividly on my return from abroad in Sept 1970,after four years stay, to be faced with constant power outages some lasting continuously for three weeks, water shortage which lasted for weeks unend and to fill your car tank you had to leave your car in a queue overnight at the petrol station. Ghana had had successive Govt and the situation is the same, if not worse, and the present Govt is being blamed for that. It is time Ghanaians realise that this is a national emergency issue which ought to be solved on non-partisan basis. Electricity, water, shelter, food and health are the essential basic needs of all and a country is measured by the way it treats its weakest.

But if they have been in power for the past 4 years ,like you are saying,then that is another issue.
A president carries the vision not the vice.The vice serves the president.It is what the President insist on it's what's done. The vice can only advice.
You can not, the fore, completely blame Mahama for the failures of Atta Mills( may he rest in perfect peace in the arms of the Lord ;he was a good man)

Our leaders would rather we starve and choke for the betterment of their families. Look at the average Ghanaian and our leaders. Check their body mass,colour, pours and lifestyles. Do you see and feel the difference? They don't give a damn or hoot about us. All they care about is how they can milk and suck our blood to the tee. They make us unconscious and inset IVs in us to just keep us living. For as long as we breath, they can get richer and squeeze us some more. How come with all our natural resources we can't have clean water? With all our dams and rivers and oil, we don't have electricity? Believe me, within the foreseeable future, maybe two or three years from now, all our animals will runaway and desert us to our neigbouring countries where they know a goat will at least be able to live the life of a real goat. At least the sun will shine during the day, and the moon will will provide light in the night. Right now, we lack these in Ghana. The present government led by John Mahama is evidencing an inability to manage basic admistrative functions. When we understand that the NDC administration has been in government for a four year period without these same basic problems the result is to understand that Mahama may be the source of the problems Ghana is now facing in the areas of electricity and water provision, as well as paying the basic bills for health care. Ghana is faced with a major incompetence problem. The major problem does not come from falling back into the stone age, the major problem comes from having an incompetent president. Ghana's hope the remaining four year period and for fair elections and democracy in Ghana rests with the justices of the Supreme Court.
