Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

If NDC succeeds in messing-up this landmark case it will be bad for mother Ghana. It will mean that it can never be possible to resolve such electoral disputes in court. There is no doubt that the NPP and NDC will continue to have close results in future elections, there will therefore always be complaints and if the court can't handle it then no one will in future waste his time in court, the matter will be settled in the streets.

It is important that the courts must be able to deal with the threat being planned by the NDC. If the NDC believe they won this election why all these tactics.

If it is proven beyond reasonable doubt that an irregularity occurred at any particular polling station that would form the basis for cancelling the those results as stipulated by the law, which cannot be challenged. If on the other hand the court decides that invalid votes should rather be nullified, so will it be. Those joining are doing so may be out of ignorance or out of their depraved and deluded thinking that they can delay justice.

I said from the very beginning that this case was going to turn into a farce, so has it become. It is bizarre that those who are shouting that their votes should count are the same people filing a case to defranchise millions of voters due to alleged electoral irregularities. Others, definitely, therefore have the right to defend their votes and make sure that they are not nullified because a few people who were registered allegedly voted without a biometric verification but were verified to be registered by some other means. Nonsense! Nonsense! Nonsense!

The judges of the SC should save Ghana further embarrassment by throwing the case out at the first sitting when it starts properly. It lacks merit and it is insane. Even though Mahama was wrongly advised to file a defence, instead of plead immunity as sitting President, the SC should enter that plea on his behalf and tell them off that, in view of the immunity enjoyed by the sitting president as per our const., they find the CI joining the president-elect inconsistent with joining a sitting president! The CI should be amended to make the pol. party of the president elect or the sitting president the party to be joined in a case of this nature. The party thus represents the elected president and its members. Case solved and closed!

If the constitution seem to recognize only individuals as the only legitimate entities in election petition then i see where you are coming from.As it is,it is only individuals under the CI who can defend their rights under the constitution on election matters.It is no surprise therefore that as soon as the electorates realize that attempts are been to disenfranchise them,they trooped to the SC to protect and defend their rights under the constitution.Perhaps the intention of the constitutional framers is to promote the concept of equality under the law as enshrined under the constitution, but in the process have open up a can of worms that will compel the framers to relook at constitution all over again to address the numerous cracks which are already showing and needs urgent attention.The parties must represent the interest of their members and individuals must channel their concerns through their parties otherwise under this arrangement,it will turn into a circus like is already happening. I don't think the SC will be right to dismiss this individual joinders because it will mean depriving them of their constitutional rights and their legitimate access to the sc to protect those rights.

AM VERY SAD WHEN OUR POLITICIANS WILL NOT ALLOW US TO ENJOY THE LITTLE LUXURY WE CAN AS THE HEIRS OF OUR MOTHER LAND. ALLOW THEM THAT FEEL THEY CAN SQUANDER OUR RESOURCES AND ABSCOND, FOUR YEAR IS NOT FAR FROM US. I THINK WITH A CHECK AND BALANCE SYNDROME WE WILL SURE GET THERE AND MAKE A PROPER DECISION. Every citizen of Ghana has a constitutional right to seek redress at the court. No person should be denied that inalienable right to justice at the court of law even if that confers a technical advantage on any party in the case before the courts. Sometimes, cases are won on technicality. That is not unusual and is not illegal either. It is inevitable that this case will collapse because of the numerous Ghanaians affected by the action taken by Akuffo Addo, his deputy and Jake Lamptey and by proxy, NPP and co. This case will collapse because it is simple to complex and will protract until the end of the current parliament. The time it take to hear these joiners even if they are all eventually denied, will last till the end of this parliament. And nothing stops additional applicants from joining the petition in future. If I were Akuffo, I would reserve whatever resources I have left in order to fight again in 2016 instead wasting the resources on a battle that can never be won. As a lawyer, he deals in precedence in law. Can Akuffo Addo cite one credible case in the world where the Supreme Court has overturned the verdict pronounce be the electoral commission? As if that is no clue enough.

I am even surprised that some NPP members have not joined the petition at the SC instead of mounting platforms to demand that their votes should count. This is the real "LET MY VOTE COUNT" and people should be applauded for joining the petition at the supreme count.
Even the ordinarily man in the street will join the petition if he finds out that his vote is about to be annulled.

Daily Guide reported that “the landmark petition in which three leading members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) are challenging the declaration of John Dramani Mahama as President by the Electoral Commission (EC) in the December 7 and 8, 2012 general election is getting comical by the day, with over 500 people filing as joinders.”
Since this publication came out, a number of people have expressed their opinions about the joinders action. Some suspect NDC supporters have been paid to delay the court action. Others see it as the right of every citizen whose vote may be annulled if the petition is upheld to join the suit. The final decision as to whether or not a voter can join the suit as a respondent depends on whether the Supreme Court consider the voter a necessary or unecessary party.
In civil law, a necessary party is a party without impleading whom a claim cannot be legally settled by court. In other words, in the absence of a necessary party, no effective and complete decree can be passed by the court. There is no standard for determining who the necessary parties to a suit are. This shall depend upon the facts and circumstances of each case. For instance, in a suit filed against a public servant in relation to his public functions, the government shall have to be impleaded but in a suit filed against the same person in relation to his not paying maintenance to his divorced wife, the government shall not be a necessary party.
If the court applies these universal guidelines, the joinder applications by supporters will be refused by the Supreme Court.
