Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Dr Joe Abbey is absolutely right in his analysis.The public sector is where most of the activities leading to the loss of state monies take place.And the payment of salaries of non-existent workers populay known as'gost workers' is depriving the nation of huge sums of money.The fault lies squarely at the door of the Accountant Generals Department and the Audit Department whose staff join together to commit such crimes against the state.Payment of ghost workers and payments for ghost purchases and projects are common daily occurrences and are more serious at the District levels.These are crimes which should attract the heaviest penalties having regard to the country's economic position. Economically it is public servants who are killng Ghana and the Accountant General's Department is the lead player here.Embezzelement of such huge state funds can never take place without the active participation of the staff of the Accountant General's Departmet and the Audit Service whose main responsibility is to ensure that monies voted to run the public services are legally spent.How can the nation progress with such unbridled stealing of state monies by public servants@

How do you develop a country by having 72% of your budget devoted to wages alone?

What is wrong with you NDC supporters? Imagine having your company and using 72% of all revenue coming in as wages? Wages in any endevour should not exceed 25% of revenue or you will bankcrupt the company.

It is not only SSSS that has increased the wages. The creation of 45 constituencies and Districts, government having doubled the wages of all MP's, Executive and Judicial branch. When Governments elsewhere are decreasing government by making government run better with less staff, Mahama is appointing Ministers at the Presidency when we have 30 Ministers as a country. You fools are destroying Ghana. You increased housing allowance to MP'S, Ministers and others from GHc30,000 to GHc50,000 and you are blaming SSSS for your stupidity.

i think this isn't time to apportion blame to a particular political party but must be an issue of national interest.strategies must be put in place to curb the situation.

If the government is serious and not complicit in these crimes then let it set up a SPECIAL TASK FORCE to carry out a forensic audit into this and find out where the money went to and recover it
