The Cardinal is being accused by gay groups of supporting the death penalty for gays legislation in Uganda. There is absolutely no truth to this. One can only see that clearly the source of this slander is the gay Vatican group. There is no way they are going to let a decent African cardinal to head the sordid organization that the Vatican is. Last year an Italian magazine went undercover and exposed the wild, gay nightclubbing lifestyle of Italian Catholic priests in Rome, many of them working at the Vatican. There was even later a criminal case against a Nigerian man resident in Italy who was a pimp procuring men for one Italian bishop.

Cardinal Turkson is too clean and innocent to be allowed to head the totally sinful and criminal mafia organization that is the Vatican.

And please do not tell me that it is the natural way of having sex, because that is the only defense many of your priests in Africa have. Your priest such as John Kofie of the Holy Ghost fathers or Spiritans cannot sleep without women and yet he is right there with the Pope in the Vatican and I am sure if you become th next Pope, you may reward him with oneof the high positions in the Church. All the denominations that have accepted homo sexual agenda are on the fast decline in the west. Cardinal Turkson knows that. The church cannot support the homo sexual agenda and survive and neither can society in the final analysis. He may not get the papal position but he will still be true to his God. You hit the nail right on the head; TRUTH is TRUTH, you can't bury truth. You are a TRUE man of God. I have great respect for you since my UCC days when you taught me Biblical Studies during my undergraduate studies in the mid 80s. What humility, what honesty and what selflesness you exude.
It may appear you're alone in your stance against gay Priests, but let me assure you that you have the backing of your people- Africans! Never mind if you don't ascend to that high office of a POPE. It's God who promotes and He has already promote you to the office of a CARDINAL. You don't have to be a Pope to render service to humanity; you're already serving the people God has entrusted to you. I'm particularly proud of you and I tell everyone that you taught me at the university. I still remember the wealth of stuff(Apo) you have and the way you delivered in class. There are thousands of young African men who have fallen victim to European Roman Catholic priests, some of whom were sent to Africa to hide them from sex scandals for which they were accused in their home countries.

There's a case in The Gambia where a White Catholic priest raped many children in a particular village, the priest was transferred in and out of the village three times, he was from New Jersey, USA, the priest was known as the lollipop man because he would engage the young boys in oral sex, one of the young men who was molested by the lollipop priest is now a school teacher in Gambia, and ho told the story to reporters.

African culture also inhibits victims from coming forward to report priest rape because it is taboo, so the pedophile priests have a field day in places like Africa, where it is grossly under reported.

He had just grabbed two candy bars from a drawer, but as he was about to leave, two of the head nun's walked in.

I am a Roman Catholic and am appalled by this Cardinal's statements. How did he attain his position as a Cardinal with such a stupid and baised remark?

I am a Roman Catholic and am appalled by this Cardinal's statements. How did he attain his position as a Cardinal with such a stupid and baised remark?
I am not gay,married, blessed with 7 sons and 2 daughter all raised Catholic.all living and all living a good life. This Cardinal should be returned to a position as Priest to learn what he does not know now.

But I find it outrageous that the Huffington Post, against all rules of journalism, trumpets the untruths and anal effusions (no pun intended) of certain gay rights groups with regard to Cardinal Turkson.

What the gay advocates have done is to take Cardinal Turkson's expression of the Catholic Church's position on homosexuality and extrapolate that to mean an actual stated support of the Ugandan anti-homosexuality law. Nowhere did they offer the evidence of the Cardinal's own words in support of the said Ugandan law. As we see in the interview with Amanpour, the cardinal merely states his position as a Catholic prelate i.e. the position of Catholic doctrine on homosexuality. Nowhere in any published document is there evidence that the Cardinal expressed his specific support for the Ugandan law! In fact, one can actually affirm that since the Catholic Church is opposed to the death penalty, it could not have supported the Ugandan law as it stipulates the death penalty for convicted homosexuals.

The tarring of Cardinal Turkson as a supporter of death penalty legislation against gays may very well be part of the plot by the White homosexual Vatican priesthood to prevent the election of the first black pope in contemporary times. This should surprise no one. Truly it may be in the interest of his own self-preservation for Cardinal Turkson to withdraw his candidacy for the papacy, given the mysterious, highly secretive, mafia-style organization that the Vatican is. There is no way the gay Vatican Mafia will allow a simple, highly-educated and honest African cardinal to assume the leadership of an organization that has been crafted from centuries of European deceit and supremacy, an organization that gave its blessing to slavery and colonialism, collaborated with the Nazis and dictatorships from Spain to Latin America and Africa, and actively assisted the CIA during the Cold War, to all of sudden allow an uncorrupted African to become its head!

Well Cardinal, if you are that concerned about the gay priests' destruction of the Catholic Church then should you becomne Pope, I suggest that you do what God commanded in Genesis 1:22,and Genesis 1:28(especially to Adam and Eve) Genesis9:1, Genesis9:7, Genesis26:9 by changing that thing Ctholics call CANON LAW which commands the very opposite hence leading many priests to become gay.

As there has never been a Black Pope so has there never been a Pope who has dared touch Canon Law and so it will not be bad at all if you did that and saved the world from these gay priests.

THAT ALONE WILL BE THE GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT EVER BY ANY POPE IN HISTORY.

I live in Ireland and so I know the effect that these gay priests have had on the Irish society on one part and the world on another, and the damage they have done along the way.

I will be glad if you were brave enought to touch and scrap Canon Law.

This is rubbish - paedophiles are to blame for child abuse; to blame sexual orientation displays stupidity and/or mischief. Is it gay men who rape female children in this world, who rape 10 small girls a day in Ghana? I don't think so. Two grown men being attracted to each other is completely different in terms of mentality, physicality and consent from someone seeking to take advantage of a child.

Paedophiles by their nature are opportunists who will seek elevated positions in society to do their worst. The fact they will then often target the most vulnerable of children; the orphans, the runaways, the disabled and distressed tells you that this is very different from the same sex attraction between equally consenting adults. One is a psychosis - the other is a harmless individual difference.

I don't at all take the Catholic Church seriously; they have been on the wrong side of history at just about every major point. The only good thing about Catholicism is the artwork that it inspires.
