The admissions offices of the various universities should start getting ready as this problem will most certainly be passed on to them. Double applications for limited places in the faculties, halls and hostels. Then in another 4 years, a mad rush for jobs as we absorb a double number of job applicants for public and private sector jobs. E dey be k3k3!!

Think the managers of this country are missing the point again as they usually do. The tertiary institutions in the country can only absorb a maximum of about 25% of that number or 50% if the standard number of 200,000 students if that silly decision to change the schooling period from 4years to 3 years was not taken. As things stand now the already poor quality of education will deteriorate further as a 4 year course and assessment is being handled by 2 groups of people with a 3 year and 4 year exposure. We are getting to the point where it will not matter who rules us as democracy seems to have so far generated individual political benefits and not one that benefits the masses. Every politician of today who attended school in Ghana had a better quality education irrespective of where he or she attended school than the average student attending school in Accra the capital today. Wheras the quality of life in the West is improving i dare say that the quality of life for the bulk of teh middle class in Ghana was far better in the 60's and 70's than it is today with oil and paper democracy. We only have to bge careful as in my view we have a big leadership problem that is now affecting ALL aspects of our life!!!

Politicians should look at the mess they have created.
Jeremiah 31:29b 'The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge.'
Our politicians must learn to be wise, and think of the people of Ghana first to take decisions in our best interests.
The children have to write their exams. So the Ministry of Education should ensure that adequate provision is made for every candidate to write the exams without any problem.
The children face enough difficulty preparing for the exams. They could do without additional difficulties which are avoidable.
