I wont be surprised if this policy was dictated to the government by our creditors like IMF.
What we have to do is invest in refinery and refined some of our oil for local consumption.
No need for insults. Any government of the day will face the same economic reality.

The solution is to invest in crude refinery for local consumption because we cant afford to buy oil on the world market and subsidized it, our economic is not strong enough to sustain it long term. Our creditors will stop lending us money.

Only few close relations who will benefit are foolishly and stupidly prepared to die for them. Whether it is Mahama, Kuffour, JJ or Akuffo-Addo. ONLY & ONLY Dr Kwame Nkrumah (though we Ashantis & Ewes were oppositioners) was worth dying for. Simply because of what he did for Blacks in general, Africans in particular and Ghanaians especially.

Even if Ghana increases its fuel Togo will still increase theirs even more so as to ensure steady supply from Ghana's smugglers. That has always been the trend because these are very poor neighbors.

Even if it makes economic sense (which I don't believe, for the reasons that you have clearly stated above), fuel is one essential thing that affects us in many ways.

Politicians have allowed TOR to be idle. Nkrumah built facilities like TOR, Akosombo, Valco, etc. to serve our needs; yet government after government have allowed these to be run down.
