What I have now seen I am very ashamed of the disgraceful distortion of facts by the NPP just to create doubt in the minds of people. First I was convinced there was a problem with the election results, but it is now clear they are fishing for anything they can lay clam to. It is such a shame. Certainly the drugs are making Nana behave strangely.

This petition is a replica of how the NPP was deceiving people about imaginary disenfranchising of some people including MPs if the CI78 was passed. In the end we saw that there was nothing wrong with what the govt did. This time the disgrace will be gargantuan.

It is a shame people still follow these unpatriotic self seekers.

When NPP was opposing CI 75 which eventually became CI 78, they managed to convince the whole country that something was materially wrong. They frightened us that because of challenges with some Polling Areas, some people, including MPs, would be disenfranchised.

However, it turned out that they were merely misleading the country against the govt for their parochial political gain. The fact they knew but were happy to mislead us was that people don't vote at polling areas but at polling stations!

Nothing is worse than to mislead people who look up to you for guidance. Yet this is the stock in trade of the NPP: DECEIPT!

I can assure Ghanaians that in this presidential election petition, the deceipt is even more gargantuan. And since they are people without a conscience, when the deceit is eventually exposed they will simply coil into their shells and unleash their rented press to cover uo their shame.

"..The EC, in its answers to the petitioners, indicated that even though it had announced initial provisional figures of 13,917,366, after the registration of Ghanaians abroad, it arrived at 14,158,890 voters; a difference of 241,524 registered voters..."

Mathematically and logically, it could be inferred from the above that, the difference of 241,524 was overseas residents or eligible voters.

Besides, the document submitted to the Supreme Court, the EC brought the total number to 2,883( 705 plus 2178),

"..leaving the EC to fish for the missing 238,117."

But there are certain group of people who are of the opinion that:

What the Electoral Commission means is that, although it registered 241,000 eligible overseas residents, only 705 out of the 241,000 of voters actually participated in the elections and voted, and this does not therefore imply that the overseas votes were padded.

At this juncture, let us take it that each of the two opinions is correct.

And,

As it is now, it is at the jurisdiction of the Supreme court to justify which of these two schools of thoughts and understandings is correct, and therefore there is no need for insults.

We should exercise the outmost patience and keep our post-moterm examinations to the bearest minimum.

Previous electoral records is there to boost their steadfastness. When Kuffour won severally in the past, these mistaken human squirts salivated. Why is the same EC being maligned and repudiated? This in my opinion is all tribally tinged, especially by those who prefer a president elected by only two regions out of the ten. Yes you are right on cue. I certainly don't remember the EC claiming that over 240,000 Ghanaians were registered abroad. The EC's argument was that the difference of over 240,000 voters were captured in a Special Voter's Registry. This registry contained registered voters who were not registered after the voters registry was closed. For instance, voters in and around Akuse did not register during the exercise and only registered after the closure of registration. Furthermore, another area in the North or Upper (not quite sure which constituency) had to be registered after a court ruling instructing the EC to register them. The 214,000 additional registered voters were thus a result of a mop up exercise, but the NPP and their rented press would want us to believe that the extra 214,000 were declared by the EC as those registered abroad. They only wanted to muddy the waters. However, instead of sending their propaganda machinery into overdrive, I would have expected the NPP big wigs to organise their usual press conferences to reveal this discrepancy. Why had they gone quiet?
