Apart from denying their corrupt practices, the NDC also have another game: cooking the figures in every aspect of financial accountability.
That we are GHC.8b short in a single year is a great shortfall given that our country cannot afford to waste time any longer and therefore require people in positions of responsibilities who can be relied upon both in competence and morals.
Sadly for Ghanaians, these two principal ingredients of competence and morals are anathema to the NDC attitude.
Under NDC administration everything is dodgy; a lot of clamour against corruption have all go in their deaf ears.
Instead of Mahama telling his ministers to continue an integrity work he could not say so. Why one would ask? Simply because he is well aware that the country view the NDC with suspicion, a suspicion which is well justifiable given the suspicious streak that follows their dealings on behalf of Ghana even he Mahama included(the china housing saga).
Mahama could not charge his ministers to continue their decent work because the last NDC government ministers had no decent names when it comes to being corrupt or suspected of being corrupt.
But then again, the Electoral Commission gave them the political power so the NDC do not seem to regard themselves accountable to the electorate for it is not the majority of the electorate that put them in power but rather the EC with the help of other state officials in the Police and the GBC.
As long as the government in power is not the one voted by the majority of the people, there will always be corrupt politicians handling our scarce resources and there will always be a weak government whoes sole responsibility is to seek to stay in power, but by nefarious means just like Rawlings did: wasted our money and sorrounding himself with his loyal cronies and protecting his regime with our money while he used lip-service to include everyone in his decision making.
What a Conman. NDC a party of Conmen
