What is all the fuss about the election of a pope? Does it matter if a black cardinal is elected instead of a white? What makes us think that God is involved in the quest for a new pope? What does the bible say about the papal power?

The long history of the pomp and pride of pagan Rome and papal Rome can only be compared to the Jewish religious services before the Babylonian captivity.

It must be remembered that God does not judge by outward appearances, nor does he choose men because of their capabilities.

Nothing is new here. A holy mother and child ( Mary/Jesus) concept was depicted in rock carvings in ancient Egypt some 3000 years before Constatine convened the Council of Nicea which oversaw the transformation of pagan Mithraism of the Roman empire and the overpowering African Isis religion to lure the devotees of Isis.
The cult of Isis, an Egyptian mother-goddess religion was absorbed into this new "christianity" by replacing Isis and her son Horus with Mary and Jesus. And from there everything black of the ancient world was turned white to begin the European reality. The formation of Europe is based on this new fake church and Africans have no business being part of it unless they want to be second class supporters.

I am so shocked about the comment made by the Rev. Ratzinger. The reason being that I have always felt Catholic clergies are well educated and are abreast with time. It turns out for me that they are no better than our roadside pastors in Ghana proclaiming to be "men of God".
The good thing about his comment is that he (Rev. Ratzinger) has confirmed what we have come to know as highly political rather than divine, when it comes to the selection of a Pope. If this is right, then Rev. Ratzinger should know Africa is not a new continent, neither has it ever been dark and will never be considering its position on earth. The Rev. needs to go back to the basics of History and Geography for upgrade.
I am sure Catholics know better not to exclude eligible candidates based on their ethnicity or global location. Africans are peaceful and at this point in time the world need peace for a change.

I'm ashamed of Ratzinger, maybe the whole catholic church and the whole system (of robbing, manipulating etc...).

Many people here don't belong and go to the church here anymore (in western Europe). Only 10 % of German population are Members of the catholic church (in 1990 25% were).

There are many reasons:
- doesn't match the modern and free culture here
- very backwards
- many racist and anti-Semitic comments from popes (from e.g. "Pius-Brüder" Pius Brothers and other Church members)
- hate speeches
- child molesting priests (seems to repeat at least 3 times a year)
- suppression of free speech (many lawsuits against media here in Germany!)
- EVEN things like: Choosing patients for their catholic hospitals (a young woman raped a few weeks ago wasn't allowed to be a patient!!!)
- A muslim friend of mine isn't allowed to execute his job, because the German "Diakonie" (a Company by the catholic church in Germany, maybe one of the biggest!) wants him to convert to Christianity before...
