It is foolish to continue to live in the past and to allow tribal and family/clan rivalries and the quest for power to divide and rule. What the factions in the Northern (and Upper East - e.g. Bawku area and lately the Vea area) need is for government to work with them in a purely neutral role to help resolve age-old problems in some cases and new ones such as the Vea case that led to the death of a student protester last week. The president and his government can, and should show leadership on all these matters.

You are now the President. And all what you can do is "talk the talk" and not "walk the talk". As a President you could have come out with a bold and authoritative statement to drive sense into the minds of your people. They are more than ever flouting the laws under your watch. Where were you as Vice President and where are you as President? WAKE UP MR. PRESIDENT.
