Well written article. The point with NPP is their natural predisposition to entitlement, to inheritance and their superiority complex. Aliu Mahama should have inherited Kuffour and NPP would still be in power by now. He was conveniently used and thrown away for the those next in line and entitled to take over and that is where the party is now. The Akan tag is real. Even if Akuffo Addo steps down, another Akan would also feel entitled, Bawumia would not see the light of day. Very good observation that the NDC holds the trump card in as far as ethnic balance in the choice of presidential candidates is concerned. This is where Rawlings comes in. Against the threat of a break away by Obed Asamoah also a Voltarian, who also felt then that it was his turn, was resisted by Rawlings in favour of an Akan, in this case a Fante, and the tradition goes on. There is serious need for Akan introspection within NPP,else the NDC would continue to put in this coalition of minority tribes to win elections to the chagrin of NPP.

Yoou claimed NDC candidates as 'hypocrites of wolf caliber dressed in sheep skin' without telling readers why you think so. These are the sort of utterances from NPP supporters that do not help the cause of the NPP.

It is the hope of every Ghanaian that as a nation we continue to develop in all spheres of life. Unortunately for Africans, tribalism has been one of our greatest enemies to our development. It is therefore strange that in 2013, our political discussions continue to be along tribal lines. We seem, on one hand to abhor the negative tribal sentiments that continue to gain roots in our body politc while on the other hand we seem to think somehow that choosing our leaders along tribal lines is the best thing to do. What happened to merits? If our national development is our ultimate goal then does it really matter who deliver it?
If we are going to choose our leaders along tribal lines then why don't we make it simple on ourselves and rotate along tribal lines so each tribe will know when their turn comes up? Most Canadian Prime Ministers have come from one single province and that has not been an issue in Canada. For me, the best person to ead our party in 2016 should be the one that qualifies the most, who can unite the party, win us votes from the non-traditional NPP supporters, has the ability to win us the election and most importantly, can move Ghana forward. This person can come from any tribe and it shouldn't matter.
