A real doctor? If a contractor is building a dam using polythene bags, are the youth supervising engineers? We need to show some discipline sometime although his death is regretable.

As much as we condemn the murder of innocent persons in our society at the same time condemn the indiscipline which has eaten into our Ghanaian societies. What was the deceased doing there when he was supposed to be in school. Those who are calling the government to sack the contractor working at Vea and bring a new contractor.Do those people know the consequences if the contractor is abrogated.Who is going to pay for the judgement debt.In this modern day world when people are developing, some of us still want to be primitive its time people do away with so call primitive ideas all in the name or customs and heritage.

you fool. the people were agitating in opposition of the destruction of their god. they offered the contractor other rocks for the project but he said no. and went ahead to destroy their god. should they sit down and watch. suppose a contractor comes to say in needs a particular block loc in the wall of your church to construct a dam and so must demolish your church would your church members just sit and watch.
the rock may not mean much to you and the contractor but it is the place and symbol of worship for these people. we practice freedom of worship in Ghana.
for the record, the Upper East region is awash with rocks so why that particular rock?

If at all, the youth protested, was it the right thing for the police commander to have ordered for the shooting of this young man. One would have expected the police to be professional and not just shoot at people like animals. This matter should be investigated thoroughly so that those found culpable be made to face the music. What was the crime of this final year student of the University of Education, Winneba? Has it gotten to a point where we can no longer disagree with one another? This kind of conduct is barbaric and totally unpardonable. Why? Did the police exhaust all the dispute resolution mechanisms and that shooting was the last resort? Didn't the police commander and contractor know that, when the people protested against the breaking of a particular rock regarded as their god, there were other rocks that could have been used? Mr. Police commander you have abuse your powers and must suffer the consequences. Enough is enough. Gideon RIP.

"Azare Anyia, a final year student of the University of Education-Winneba, was allegedly killed during a clash between the demonstrating youth and police". The above quote suggests that there was indeed a CLASH. If so, the police are mandated under such situations to use appropriate measures such as reasonable force including lethal force to ensure their safety and then maintain the peace and safeguard public order. Demonstrators of whatever kind are always expected to operate within the confines of the law. Clashing with the police who are deployed to carry out their constitutionally mandated duties is always a recipe for disaster including fatalities. This is just one of such avoidable FATAL CLASHES.

Yet we see questionable elections , strange trips to Turkey korea china and South Africa , receipt of blabber mouth gay activists , Iranians ,abnormal gold transactions , out of place comments even in sports just to name a few that are in the public eye not to mention those we know but not so advertised.
